N tox is insideous sometimes... you see, N is one of the nute' elements the plant takes up whether it needs it or not, they're just hardwired that way by nature,... and they store the excess, for which there is a limited capacity... it build up and builds up, until it reaches the level of toxicity symptoms showing! What nute's are you using?-- NPK#'s? The 5gal pot will also become a reservoir that the roots tap deeper into as she grows, increasing uptake from N not absorbed earlier from previous feedings,...
