I have a Nirvana Short Ryder ready to harvest! I think! It was germinated on Jan 6th but did not have any decent lighting until the 18th when my T-5 light system finally showed up. So it's been 14 week almost but really only 12 weeks with a good environment.

I keep waiting for the leaves to yellow and they still have not but I had a small lower bud stem break and was wilting. Not sure how long it had been like that but the leaves were still green but wilting bad and on it's way out. So I looked up how to quick dry to test and that little bud set me on my butt! Wow!

So I will put up some pics today before cutting just to get all your opinions. I'm thinking if the little popcorn bud at the bottom is strong the rest of the plant should be killer. Opinions???

She's looking good mate, cant realy tell if shes due the chop but for your next grow get yourself a x60 or above loupe scope off flea bay ( £3 ) and you will be able to check the trics, once all cloudy you can chop away or leave her a little longer to amber up, hope you've stopped feeding her as she looks awfully green.

good luck come chop time mate :peace:

Yes, have not fed her for a couple weeks. I know, the really green leaves makes me think I should wait? When do you have to worry about it losing strength? I read where one guy had this tremendous grow and when he chopped there was no high. What a bummer! So hard to decide when to harvest, worry about too soon or too late. I have a x30 loupe scope. I think they are mostly cloudy but no amber; also read this particular one may not amber? If you all think it's okay to let her to continue to grow without losing the high, I will do that. I'm really at a loss what to do as not having done this before and the green leaves are really throwing me.

Can you get us a close up of the buds ? rule of thumb once mostly cloudy you can chop but i leave mine a little extra as sometimes they bulk up a little more.

as you sayed they were stunted early on and may take a little longer :peace:

I tried a closeup of one of the buds but it was pretty blurry. I think the trichs are all pretty cloudy but no amber that I can see with the #30 loupe. When you say you wait a little extra time when cloudy; what do you mean? 2 days? A week? ?? You think I should wait another week?

Nice job ... those are two sweet looking plants ... I would say your two week window to harvest starts about now ... if a popcorn bud was enjoyable then they all should be at least as good. I would prepare for harvest ie: drying space; hygrometer; jars; small scissors .... once you've got that together, Chop away ... take down one or part of both first whatever looks to be the most mature buds ... I like to harvest in 2-3 stages ... just makes things easier ... plus if you screw up one stage you've got another one to get it right ...

Thanks so much Chester for your input. Okay, I'll start with the biggest buds and then what? wait a week for the next batch of buds? I just cut one of the bigger buds and it was 7 grams. Not sure what that means...:shrug:I'll keep track of the weight as I go along. I'll take some pics of the trimmed buds also. May quick dry a bit of this one bud and see how it compares to the little popcorn bud. If I'm comatose I'll know it's stronger. :joint: I better wait and do that tonight...
