Thanks Muddy, I don't mind them a little rough around the edges as long as the plant is healthy and the results are yummy...

Unfortunately I have no idea what seed that is. When my first 5 died they ended up getting mixed up and one fell in the pot.. I'm thinking, unless you believe it's a bad idea, to move the little one just because I like the idea of trying and I'm also curious to see what the roots look like at this stage. After all I planted so many just so I could do some trial & error.. Hopefully it'll be alright.

One more question: do you know how much yield can I expect from this plants if they end up growing in 6.5l (1.5g) pots? I know it's really hard to tell because it depends on many factors, but even a super rough estimate will do. I imagine around 50/100g per plant, but maybe I'm being optimistic..

If I understand you correctly, you have a lamp style HPS. You have a fan/filter that runs all the time but obviously isn't cooling the light. Do you have a fan that is cooling the light and plants? If you get a regular fan blowing air on the light/plants you could lower the light a bit. You have some distance to work with if you can keep temperature in check. This will be effective unless the ambient temperature in the room is also high. If the air in the room is cool it will help a lot.

If you feel confident, go ahead and give transplanting a try. Just make sure to go deep when you remove it as the tap root will be pretty far down into the pot by now. Take out plenty of soil around the roots. You want to disturb the roots as little as possible.

I doubt you'll come close to those yields in pots that small. I think 25 - 35 grams would be more realistic for a first time grower.

I also have a small computer fan blowing cool air in from a bottom vent. That being said, the temperature tends to always go up.. right now it's sitting at 29.5 C or 84 F with 40% humidity, even though the light is 50cm/20" over the top of the plants. This is weird because I'm keeping the box in a cellar which is not heated nor insulated (granted, I'm in northern Italy so the outside temp is around 15 C during the day). Any idea on how to drop the temp without raising the lamp any further?

Muddy, I'll do it and post the results, I'll try to be as gentle as possible on the roots.. As for the yield, I imagined I was being a bit optimistic! Anyhow, as long as I get some result, I'll be happy (actually I'm enjoying the process so much that I'm not even that concerned with the results...). Once again thanks for taking the time to answer, I'll name the best plant after you!

600 watt HPS light give off a lot of heat. Best thing to do is increase your air flow or use a cool tube type of reflector. That intake fan may actually be hurting you a bit. If it's CFM doesn't match the exhaust fan it may be inhibiting the amount of air being brought in. You may want to try removing it and just going with a passive intake. See if that doesn't drop your temps a bit.

Day 10

Hello all,

a quick update. The ladies are growing strong! Generally speaking the Whiteberrys are doing great, they're growing strong and very symmetrical. The 2 Pandoras're doing well too, the leaves are a bit curled though. The AutoMarias're smaller and the leaves look kind of weird, not too happy about them..

Today I watered them all, the last time was saturday and the soil was getting quite dry. I did as Muddy suggested lowering the amount of water and pouring close to the base of the plants.

I transplanted the intruder, the root was tiny so I'm not putting much hope in it, I guess it'll take a couple days to see the results..

I have one of the plants growing crooked.. I used a little stick to hold the stem straight, is that a good idea?

On a side note, one of the ladies seems to be a mutie. Two of the leaves grew up together.. Is that bad? See pic below

Looking good. The plant that was leaning was probably just reaching for light. Just rotate them once or twice a day so that they all get even light. Do you have a small fan inside the tent for air circulation? If not, I would suggest your install one. The plants will benefit from the air movement and it will help to strengthen the stalks so they can better support the weight of the buds later on.

Hi Muddy and all,

I always had a fan working but I kept it aimed far away from the plants because I thought it would be bad to stress them.. Now I tried aiming it at the very top of the leaves so that they are shaking just a tiny bit.

I figured out the whole temperature thing and even managed to raise the humidity. 80F @ 54% should do the trick right?

I transplanted the baby intruder and she seems to be holding on so far.. Also, the watering really kicked them in overdrive.. they grew a lot since yesterday, god bless the nutes!

One last question: should I be at all concerned with the mutant plant?

That sounds good on the fan. You just want some gentle movement. If it's too strong when pointed directly at them, turn it so the air bounces off the wall first. Perfect on the temp and RH. I wouldn't be too concerned about that other plant, just let it do it's thing.

Generally speaking things are going great! Most of the ladies are growing strong and steady, the WB seem to be the most balanced while the Pandoras are getting compact and bushy. They're starting to smell a bit too..

The automarias on the other hand are looking very weird.. I have absolutely no clue why, but I'm enclosing pics.. please any feedback is more than welcome!! 3 of them are very small compared to the others (even of the same pheno), the leaves are dark green and they look twisted and a little sick.. Should I be worried?

The temperature is now under control and just one plant is showing signs of severe curling. The only reason I can imagine is that it sits right in front of the air intake, so it might be getting some temp shock when the lights go out.. Does that make any sense to you? Pic below..
