New Grower First Grow/Journal. DP AutoMazar Now under GN-Ms0006 LED

Great pickup bro', I too got bit by the led fever midgrow. Mine aren't as great as yours(only a couple ufos) but when my berry ryder outgrew the aerogarden I'm growing in I thought why buy more cfls and picked up the leds instead. Your girl looks great and I'm sure she is going to love all the new light. +good grow karma.

Im loving this LED and I'm sure my baby is lapping it up.
I got a new camera well i say new, its actually rather old i just wasn't aware we owned it. Its a Panasonic F59 Lumix 12mega pixel and that beats my 8mp on my phone. Getting use to it and all the settings may take some time lol.

Day 49

Mixture of amateur shots of bud sites and the damage dealt by cal/mag deficiency.

Your going to notice some difference now with the LEDS id say?? Mazar looks class man! I hope mine get that big, doubt it though.

Right so its bin 4days since i last watered and i have not seen any improvements and now I'm worrying.

I was going to water her again with the plant magic magne-cal+ but the bucket is still heavy and soil damp. What should I do? the whole thing has spread like wild fire.

What's the PH of the water going in and whats the pH of a slurry?

It really an be hard to stop once it starts... don't feed her if she's damp..

What was your last feed? How much of what nutrient? What's the largest dose of bloom nutes you've given?

This is what i fed her last feed.

-one tablespoon of Molasses and one tablespoon Epsom salts with 8ml of BB bio-bloom and 4ml of BB top-max to 4.5liters of tap water that had bin sat for 24hours(prob more) and ran threw a Brita filter. I then PH'd the water to 6.5.

2ml of bio-bloom with 1ml top-max to 1liter of water has bin the highest dose of nutes she has received.

Will go make a slurry now.

The PH of the water before adding the soil was 7.8 and after making the slurry the PH is 7.1

Edit- its dropped to 6.9 now

This is going to be somewhat controversial advice, but these are the actions I'd take..

Cut out the epsom and molasses now that you have the calmag+ addititive. Up your Bloom nutes to full strength, TopMax you can probably up a bit too, but let's cut it out for now. TD is an eater from what I've read.

I'd take a gallon (4 liters) of water, and do 20mL Bloom, and full strength of what the cal-mag is (probably 5mL for 4L).. take TopMax out for a little bit, it's kelp, molasses and a bit of humic/fulvic.. it can be added back at any time, but the abundance of molasses in your soil now is a lot of glucose in the root zone, not always a good thing.

I believe your pH is okay. It'd be easier to test a slurry with distilled water, use 2 parts distilled water to 1 part soil and make a slurry.. that'd give us a better idea. Having such a high starting pH of the water makes it a bit harder to get accuracy on it.

The issues still appear to be bloom cal/mag and PK deficiency. There's a lot of bud there, requiring a lot of PK. Are the buds still fattening up?

Thank you for all the advice wg.
:slap:Edit- I must spread the love before i can give you more rep lol

Its AutoMazar that I'm growing not TD:p. The buds are still getting fatter which is good.
Last feed i didn't get a 10% run off so should I up the amount of water to 6liters from 4?
I will try to grab a bottle of distilled water tomorrow. Were do they sell it? Would bottled spring water do they job?

All places sell distilled water, at least here in the states. No Spring water still contains minerals and such in it that could theoretically alter the pH reading.

I knew it was AutoMazar! >_> Haha, no but I do get the two of them confused a bit. You don't need 10% run off, I rarely get run off when I water, the only time you need excess run off is to check pH.. calibrate your meter and try and get some run off if you want to test it, but soil and water pH will take time to stabilize.. I never found much use in testing run off. :2cents:

It takes about 15 minutes for pH to stabilize in a slurry, how is run off going to be accurate? That's all I'm saying!

If the buds are still getting fatter, I still believe that it's just insufficient PK more so than anything else.. they need to take those nutrients from somewhere in order to fatten the buds. If it was a pH lock out then the plant would begin to show signs of stunting. If it was an overload of PK then the buds would pretty much "stall"...
