New Grower First grow need some pointers :)

dual spectrum is very nice... but power for lumens... HPS outperforms MH by 20% or so...

that's why I love the digilux they have a wide spectrum of reds, oranges. blues, violet, and green spectrums. and also have more lumens the a hortilux super hps and they are about 50 bucks cheaper.... the hortilux is still a great bulb though

good to know TD! thanks! :grat:

no problem. The only thing bad I have herd of digilux is someone said they blow up but the person who said that was running those water cooled inline radiators which make a lot of moisture inside the hood and we all know moisture inside the hood with a extremely hot bulb is going to make things go BANG. lol Thanks for the rep man :D

Im running a digilux 400hps 57,000 lumens is what the box says and love it

I have no doubt that explosion was failure to mitigate moisture issues then.. :toke:

I almost ran water cooled until I saw moisture inside his hoods from the radiators/iceboxes and thought wow, how ignorant to not take care of it knowing what happens....

I agree there great and for the price too. my 1000's run 155,000 lumens and more if I were to use super lumens but will not I don't think a 1000 watt bulb should ever be run more then 1000 watts.... just asking for it to explode imo

Digilux is made by R&M Supply.. same company that makes NexGen, Quantum, Xtreme, Harvest Sun, etc etc.. They also make the MAXLUME CFL and T5 fixtures.. Quantum BadBoy T5 fixture.. They make the HydroHut grow cabs.. the list goes on and on, can't go wrong with them.

They have awesome customer service as well, paid to fix two of my ballasts.. they don't ask questions, just send you a shipping label.. takes about 14 days total, to and from them..

Guys I need some help I've been trying to work out what fan I need ( cfm wise ) I've worked out that my 80cm x 80cm x 160cm grow tent has 33.8 cubic feet this seems wrong to me as online the smallest inline fans ( cfm wise ) will move 450 cubic feet per minute. Have a worked this out wrong of am I just looking at fans built for bigger grow areas?? Can some one recommend an inline fan to get the air out with a carbon filter ( do I really need this smell won't really be to much of an issue) I also need a fan to being fresh air in either recommend a fan or a reliable website for the uk please. Also I do realise I need more than 33.8 cfm as I need to get to of heat and obviously because I'm going to use ducting I will need slightly more power as the longer the ducting they're you need. Doing my head in as I have everything set up to go except the extraction system lol

Just to add guys I have a 400w HPS bulb in the grow room so I no I need to get the heat away!!!
