Hey I think internode is the distance between two sets of leaves. Foggy memory of botanical nomenclature.
So maybe you've had some vertical growth or stretch of your plants.

i was thinking that the growths are gonna be new branches, both seem very healthy and both seem to be completely different, the jems is not a little taller(maybe because the leaves just keep on praying) and the devils growth is wide and dense

I meant "on par" like now I don't have a sand layer either, atleast on one pot now..

Your plants are still holding their own man. Mine might catch your Day 20 shots around day 16 I think.

Internode growth is the leaves/stem/buds form at where your branches join the main stem. some shoot out bigger branches than others and have many main colas. Some like the Purple Jem will shoot out alittle but be more one main chunky cola with afew side nuggets, in short I guess. lol

The speedy will most likely stretch up abit more later.

i do have a layer of sand though its only thin
the devil also is supposed to just one main chuncky cola and thanks for clearing that up for me :smokebuds:

day 21, didnt take any pics tonight, at first i thought they hadnt developed much over night, the jems looked as though they hadnt at all..... until closer inspection, new growths on the stem ( i believe internode growth) it seems at the base of every leaf was new leaves coming though, and the growths that were there a few days ago have got a hell of a lot bigger.
another development, the jems now have several white hairs coming from the top

also one of the first(round) leaves on my jems had turned yellow(will get a close up pic in the am), the rest of the plant looks good though any thoughts?

Hmm, they seem a little small to me, at least both mine rounds at 3 weeks were bigger, also if you say they start to turn yellow, I suspect maybe you are underfeeding them?
