New Grower First grow Speed devil auto and purple jems auto

Lookin good man. I did some jems in my last chop and they were some goooooood smoke. Knocked me right out into relaxation after work! Had a green and purple pheno. Interested to see this speed devil!

Was a little worried about the Jem on day 7s pic looked like it may of had some "damping off" at its base browning, but from pics of day 9+ are all looking very healthy! Hope my Purple Jem can keep up.
Your weather should be a bit cooler now man and some rain as all the weather from up here has moved down the coast is around your area or just north this morning when I checked.:smokebuds:

yep cooler today and should be even cooler for the weekend, wich is good, with grow box open I may be able to leave the fan off over the next few days

another thing i do to help control heat is what i call purple time, I'm On a 20/4 hour light cycle(4am-12midnight), for that time my LED is on 100% of the time, for the first 15 and last 15 min of light time its just the LED, and the CFL's also have 2x half hour breaks, between 10-1030am and between 4-430pm(just before and just after the hottest period of day) so in total my babies recieve 20 hours led and 18.5 hours cfl each day

Nice lil equation of lumens bro ...plants aren't always blasted in nature ...

Happy growing

thats what i figured, in nature they are bound to have shady periods depending on where the sun is for time of day and bound to have cloudy overcast days aswell, and theoreticly the led should be enough light on its own.
I plan on experimenting with this for my first couple of grows, another added bennifit asides from heat reduction is a small saving on electricity

and it certainly doesnt apear to be having any negative effects on my babies, so next heatwave and im sure to have a couple of those during this grow I will add another 30min period(maybe 2-230) as i do believe the heat will do more damage than more off periods of the supporting lighting
