both exactly the same millwake black and yellow from amazon the first i thought was good til i dropped it in the water they dont like that the second the same meter didnt function right out of box it calibrated the first time and never would come close to calibrating again. idk i think the next one i get will be water proof at least been looking they can get spendy but i like good tools and thats the main one bro:smokebuds:

due to my clumsiness and being shipped faulty product i am without ph meter so i have been guessing for days now. i am begining to develope started yesterday much worse today i dont know what to do mix fresh nutes and guess again at the ph of it i know that with the veg nutes i was giving that comes out at 6.5 then i can drop it a little. the only test strips availible only tell me i am 6 something guessing is not getting it done. cant get meter until tommorow pm
what is my best plan of action for the next 24 hours? i am trying to keep things from going :smokebuds:"AFN smoke out"

SORRY ksjauto:clap: tells me the canoe leaves are from my light being to close its on a mover so its not really hot but i have moved it up n ow how do i know is too close or to far away i can quite comfortably hold my hand at top of plant for the whole cyle of the light where is optimum for 1000 watt hps? i could hold my hand there before i move it up:smokebuds:

First things first.Relax and smoke a bowl.
I'd recommend getting a cheap dropper ph kit as a back up.
5 bucks at wallyworld.
Personally, that's all I use. But that's a different thread...
This is where keeping notes comes in handy.
For example, for me, my H2o is @ph 8. When I mix up my current nute blend ph is @ 8 still. I know for my 2 gallon res it takes me 1.5ml ph down to get it exactly where I need it.
I usually do all the mixing and then test ph. This has remained consistent every time I test it.
Knowing this, If I didn't have my tester, I would at the minimum, know what my ph is at on a new res change.
If you are consistent in what your doing you should be able to run blind for a day.
I know of some folks that taste their res and know when it's good or not. (not recommended!)
Just saying.. everyone has their own method of madness on how they run their set up.
You should be alright if it's just a day. Just keep an eye on things.

Bought this for myself today and installed airstones in each res more air is better right!!!

First thoughts would be heat.
If your running a 1000w hps I'd raise it to a minimum of 24" above the tallest plant.
Incrementally move it closer. Check temp and move closer.
I run a 600w hps and I'm usually 18-24" above. Changes with the weather due to how I have my grow set up.
Don't know how many fans you have, but I always keep air moving when lights are on.
I run two oscillating fans set at opposed times.
Otherwise, they look healthy.
More air is better. Happier roots.

yea i got you ronin i actually have two oscillating fans two box fans all going and the airfilter purifier that i was gifted. ill raise it some more. thanks for saying they look healthy two of them grew 2 friggen inches in height in less than 24 hours i am hesistant to say that but i can read a tape measure just fine i smoke plenty enough"RU Stoned..?" but not quite enough to forget how to read a tape and take notes.:smokebuds:

That's the hardest part for me. Actually marking down what I did.
Now I use a spreadsheet. Much easier to track.
Now if only I can remember to update it...

Yea I didn't like the fact I had to start taking notes but it lets me know what happens. Might come in handy in the future but won't keep them around you know just as long as I need them
