New Grower First LED Grow: DP BAM & Think Different SOL4 400w

Hello all!

Killface here with his second grow, first LED grow!

My first grow went great, https://www.autoflower.org/f44/imkillfaces-first-grow-think-different-250w-hps-26012-2.html , and still waiting for my final weight total. I needed to move away from HPS for heat issues, running AC for 75 days 24/7 put a dent in the wallet.

I went out and grabbed a Hydrogrow LED Sol-4 400w. I got it on there Black Friday deal and got $160 off the price. I've seen some amazing results with Hazy's grows using the SOL9, but haven't seen many other people rocking this light, so I'll make sure I add a review.

Now to the get go:

Custom Tent: 2.5' x 2.5' x 6'
Light: SOL 4 - 400w
Soil: Promix Bx with perlite added in, 5g SmartPots
Nutes: Fox Farm Trio and CalMg+
Ambient Temp: 79f
Tent temp: 84f/69%rh

I will not be using my AC until the last couple weeks of growing to bring down the temperature and humidity.

Think Different and Blue Auto Mazar both soaked for 24 hours, then into a wet paper towel. Think different cracked and tapped within 24 hours and was planted. The BAM on the other hand has not cracked, second seed same, third and final seed also did not crack. Meanwhile the TD has already popped her head out. I went ahead and planted the two uncracked BAM seeds in one pot, I'm going to give it a couple days and see what happens. If I don't get anything then I'll put in a second TD.

Light is currently 30 inches away and I plan on running either 16/8 or 18/6 on this run.

Good news. Opened the tent today and my BAM has sprouted. Not happy with a 1/3 germ rate, but at least 1 is better than none.

The BAM just picked up her head and is looking good. The Think Different is establishing roots and should be ready to explode any day now.

She is short and compact but starting to really pick up speed growing.

She definitely got some legs and growing super fast. She is taller then the TD already, and might start to outgrow her in about a week or so. I have a funny feeling she is going to be a monster.

Hey nice setup man, that LED should pack quite a punch in that size tent with the 100w chips. I'll be following this one "Munch..munch..munch

Thanks! The other 2 seeds aren't going to germ. I'm glad I at least got 1 out of the 3 seeds to pop. I was planing to run only 2 plants on this go around with 5gal pots and see what will happen.

I'm on the go big or go home train of thought, I was always planning on going LED and after seeing what HaZy does with the SOL 6, that sold me. Also my ambient temps being a constant low 80s year round makes LED a no brainier, tent is right in the low 80s now with just a couple fans.
