Looking good .a little droopy must of just watered are need water. Trimming not preferred better to tuck or some LSTing. What is your set up?? Keep up the good work and it will reward you well.

How can u ever tell how much water to give them.. how do u know whether u are under or over watering them,
So in other words what are the particular signs i need to be aware of :)
Thanks

I go by the weight of the pot its in. When you 1st plant in it feel the weight of the pot and it gives you an ideal of what it feels like dry. Other way is to stick your finger down in the soil to see if it feels dry. When I water I water it slowly til i get some water coming out the bottom of the pot. My 1 gal. pots where taking 4 cups of water and I would get close to a cup of run off. Most growers tell you that cannabis plants like a little dry spell in-between watering then others say not to let it dry out cause of the microbes in the soil need to stay wet to stay active an healthy. But I do both feel the soil and feel the weight, most of the time its about 4-5 days is when i was watering. :smokebuds:

Thanks guys
So far yet iv never seem it run straight through into the bottom, i have i 1.5 gallon pot and im now watering it about a litre of water with nutrients s week. i spread this out over the week so giving it 3 feeding.. but iv never seen it run through into the bottom, does this mean im watering to less?

Might be but there looking good. Ive read somewhere that its a good way to make sure its not leaving any dry spots in the soil with a 10% - 20% fun-off plus it helps with flushing out build-ups. The leafs will tell you if your over or under watering cause they get droopy.

Salutations Dave1,

How can u ever tell how much water to give...

My suggestion would be to depend on a system where no roots can ever end up being drowned. My buckets provide a water tank at the bottom, seperated from the soil by an air layer which promotes indirect oxygenation. A capilary system links the water tank to the soil so it's always moist but never too damp as excess water will fall back into the reservoir anyway.

Mine hold about 7.5 litres as i recall, this translates into watering every 2 days on average (depending on plant size of course)...

:peace:

I water to heavy run off. I find in the pots I use, 3-5 gal with lots of holes, when the plants reach about 30-40 days old I have to water every 2-3 days.

For me I put a good shot of water, let them sit for a bit and run more threw. This way it all the soil is good and wet. It also flush the soil some.spellbound is saying what most do.
