New Grower First proper grow 2 x Think Different 125w Dual Spec CFL

I should inspect my plants more carefully next time. I've noticed some leaves have started to get all sugary. Wish I had a better camera than my crappy 5mp mobile phone camera. Hopefully in the next week or so it will be easier to snap the sugary goodness.

Hmm. The smell has evolved into a freshly cut grass smell now. Not sure if this is normal or if I should be worried.

After trying like 7 times to get the focus right on my crappy 5mp phone camera and I think you can just about see some of the sugary stuff on the leaves around the bud sites on this pic... [emoji23]

Lol I think you might still need to enlarge the pic to make it out. Ahh I should really upgrade to a better phone. Damn CPW.

Yea mate, its starting to frost up !

Day 49

Sorry for the sloppy updating guys. Had a bit of a chest infection recently so wasn't feeling too well.

So the plants were neglected a bit whilst I was unwell with some poor timed feeding and not raising the CFL bulb when I had to. So now I'm seeing some signs of nitrogen deficiency in the lower and older fan leaves. There's a bit of nute burn on one of the plants. There's also heat stress on the same plant.

I've been feeling better today so started to get back into my routine of checking up on the ladies.

Fed 2 litres of warm water with a bit of molasses. Waited for it to cool down to room temperature then added 3ml bloom and a teaspoon of Epsom's. No Topmax today.

Removed a few tiny dead leaves from the very lowest part of the plants as well.

Other than that they still look okay but hopefully now that I'm better perhaps they will also get better.

Some pics...

Day 57

Once again apologies for the sloppy updating of my grow journal. I've been busy preparing and and actually doing an interview for a dream job. Fed up of my current job and an opportunity arose elsewhere so decided to seize the moment.

Anyway onto the plants! Sad to say but I've been neglecting them a lot recently and I am guilty of a possible nute lockout since my last update. There was also a calmag deficiency. They were both flushed with 30 litres of pH'ed rain water from the water butt in my garden. Honestly flushing is such a pain in the arse. Also gave a dose of calmag earlier in the week.

Since I'm a noob and decided to try something 'different' lol I've been going against the grain and snipping all the necrotic stuff and stuff that looks like it will probably die. I thought that would be the end of my grow. I thought I had either stunted them fo' life or sent them to an early grave. Turns out they're still growing...

They should be dead...tough little bastards [emoji23]

Spooky stuff! And all this with Halloween around the corner [emoji316] [emoji316] [emoji316]

Been feeding plain pH'ed tap water with a tiny bit (1.5ml) of grow for the nitrogen kick for the last two feeds. Next feed I'll bring back the bloom nutes into the mix but I'll go really easy on them this time.

The buds have gained in size. The calmag deficiency definitely seems better also.

I hope I can still see these two plants through to the harvest stage and I also hope I don't get an urge to bring my scissors out again...unless I'm dressing up as Edward Scissorhands for Halloween [emoji316] [emoji316] [emoji316]

A quick picture of the plants...snipped leaves 'n all [emoji23]
