I just swapped out the rez yesterday, but I think I missed some of the old water. Running 15 gallons in RDWC. I have H202 at the ready, how do I proceed? I added hydroguard but I think it was not enough.

How much 29% h202 should I add? When should I add back more hydroguard? How can I avoid a full rez swap?

60ml of H202 today, 60ml of Hydroguard tomorrow?

h2o2 will kill the HydroGuard! Trying to grow sterile (h2o2) is way beyond your skill level at this point. I tried and failed several times. Give the HydroGuard a chance to work It takes at least overnight. I tried to warn you about how you were putting the seedlings in the net pots.

Yes I understand it will kill the hydroguard, the pythium seems to already be winning the battle. Roots are slightly brown, water smells funny. My thought process was that the h202 would clean up the pythium and then I could re-inoculate with hydroguard to allow it to establish a better foothold. This might not be how it works, which is why I am asking!

Could you elaborate on how I may have added them wrong? I took your advice and gave it room for the roots to breath, I think the pythium came from light leak.

Sorry for repeat posted this in the live chat should have put it here!!

Check out my pythium post in the infirmary I got great advice!! https://www.autoflower.org/threads/persistent-pythium-hydroponics.70088/
I cant get a lot of products in Canada so I used something similar. I'm going to not bother with sterile and I'm starting to use Heisenberg tea https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/tea-bag-your-dwc.184191/ and it's also in the forums too if you search on here, I think it's in the infirmary stickies or the irrigation and hydro sections.
The good thing about this tea or similar is the good guys actually need to be at a higher res temp so I don't need to worry about trying to keep it below 70F they like it a bit above that.
Before I set up my stuff again I dipped the roots in H2O2 3% 10mg per gallon and THEN added the beneficials. If you use H2O2 in your res you need to wait 2-3 days before adding anything good back in.
I could not clean my main system until two days ago, but just adding in good stuff killed the pythium and when I harvested my poor plants the roots were already starting to grow back.
H2O2 sucks in my opinion as you have to add it every 2-3 days and it just didn't work for me, but the good bacteria and fungi did the job. Look into it you won't regret
