Hello I have two autoflowers 8 days from seed they and inch and half in height I’ve been spraying water daily then seem to be dryer quicker when should I give a good watering and how much of water I’m growing in 12litre smart pots with biobizz light mix also when should I introduce cal mag to feeds

Hello John and welcome to the group. Watering is a highly subjective issue with everyone having their own preferences. Personally, I never spray mist my plants indoors, but many people do. As far as pot watering, I allow my plants in soil to get pretty dry the first couple inches and then water deeply and slowly until I get a little runoff and the soil is completely moistened. In my experience, full saturation watering at longer intervals are better than watering a little every few days. You will get a feel for what works best for you and your plant will tell you. When you see leaves start to droop, it’s definitely time to water. Good luck with your grow.

How many leaves on the wee things? They will likely need feed from the roots by now mate, so like has been suggested 4oz or 100 to 150 ml of water each just now and keep a good eye on them.

Welcome to AFN I just water once and let the roots chase water then it dries in a week or so i add more.

hi and watering is of a more feeling than formula,science or a schedule sadly.a week old 2" plant dont need much at all.if the pot was given a real good watering at seed planting it could be a week or more before it needs watered again.if starting with dryish soil then it needs more the lil and often treatment for the first weeks.sorry to be of little to no help there.
lift up pot how heavy or light is it ? is one method,another is to jab yer finger as deep in,and see what sticks to yer finger

Hello thank you all for the responses so with 4oz of water when would you next water when the top 2inches is dry ? I’m using a mars Hydro in 2x2 space looking to get 450watt led with the next run and yeah we all have opinions I’m open to all advise just don’t want a bad first run so any advice if much appreciated would you fully wet the pot for an 8 day seedling how long would you go between watering at that early stage as we know the lil fellas don’t take stress well yeah been keeping an eye on the leafs. They got the first set of leafs coming through yeah will give that amount tonight when the lights comes on my temps are 28 lights on and 25 off and average 50% humidity would it be safe to add 1 ml of cal mag to a litre of water when feeeding them at this stage or Hold of on the cal mag

I don't think cal mag is necessary yet. Water should last a couple days, it needs a good watering If the pot wasn't wet when started. All depends on the plant.

Ok thanks il hold of on the cal mag and I didn’t wet the pot as told I would t need to with bio bizz light mix what do you class as a good watering someone told me circle around her at Least a couple of litres then been told 150ml so I watered 150ml around her yesterday do u think I need to add more or add more the next time I water and that’s a pic from yesterday what do u think at that size how much of water if didn’t ore soak sorry for all the questions just wanna try do everything right
