All right, time for another update. On 7/26 I removed the bottom of the cups and transplanted to the final pots using FullDuplex's tiered method. I had a compo mix ready to go, but I noticed a few tiny bugs in it before planting and got spooked. So I picked up a bag of
OF and mixed up my own medium. Approximately 3/5
OF, 1/5
LW, and 1/5 perlite. I'd rather err on the side of a light, airy soil that I have to water more often, rather than something that might be prone to drowning the roots if I screw up. Over the past day I saw no sign of any distress from the transplant, and hopefully those roots are spreading out and enjoying their new home.
I snapped a few pics, including a some macro shots. The DinaFem Fruit has surpassed by the Pakistan Ryder in size, but the PR is hanging in there considering the rough start it had. Both look like they're ready to pop a lot of leaves, so I'm expecting to see plenty of growth this week.
