Nutrients FloraKleen Flush Question

I'm in Ocean Forest on week 11 of a Blue Dream photo grow. I need to flush some of the salt build up from the soil and picked up a bottle of FloraKleen since I was out of my typical Sledgehammer flush. I've had lots of folks suggest FloraKleen so I am giving it a try.

FloraKleen says to mix the proper dosage into water and then water until I start getting runoff. That's all it says but how does a small amount of runoff clear salt buildup????

What is the best way to use FloraKleen in your opinions?

Got something to do with ion exchange
The salts latch onto the sugars
But floakleen is expensive considering it's basically a sugar solution and one can make it easly themselves

Only watering with runoff will flush salts from growing medium. This you can achieve with little lower EC and more water in the last week of growing or when having lockout in the middle of the grow.
From plants it is not possible to remove anything. Save your money.
