Hey people
When an auto flower plant shows its gender...does that mean it will definitely auto flower? I have never grown photo sensitive plants so I am not sure if they show there sex at the same age.
I have a Bomb seeds... Berry Bomb auto, it has showed a few pistols at at around day 15 on the third node.
Thanks
Da Ham

Indoor photo sensitive plants will only show sex once the light is cut back to 12 hours. Outdoors they only show sex after the days start to get shorter, usually in mid July or later. The fact that your plant is showing pistols at 15 days means it's an auto. Autos will normally sex anytime between about 15 to 21 days regardless of what light schedule they are on.

??? You mean female. Plants show sex photo or non photo. Even as soon as 15 days. But yes... Most likely an auto at 15 days. Not to confuse people.

To my knowledge i thought photo plants only showed sex when u changed the light cycle, but ive never run photo strains before. If its showing pistols at day 15 basicly its female and prolly most deffo a auto.

Well they do show. Like AF's. Pitch your males and keep the ladies. :tiphat:

Just to clarify so we don't get confused, your question: When an auto flower plant shows its gender...does that mean it will definitely auto flower?

The plant showing you its sex, male or female without any change in light schedule is the autoflowering process brother. She will continue to flower on her own under the same light schedule she is on now.

Hope this helps :peace:

Photos will show sex before 12/12 once they reach sexual maturity. It is strain specific, but I'd say 90% of my photos pre-flower before they get flipped.
However, I'd say autos do it much earlier, and continue to throw pre-flowers through veg. Whereas photos only toss out a few of em.

Edit
And yes I mean my indoor plants. 18/6 metal halide.
