I don't wanna have to buy the spring water gallons for flushing, would tap water be ok? Do u guys use the flush rule of three gallons of water per gallon of soil(I.e. 3 gal soil needs 9 gal of water).
if you wanna use tap water you need to leave it in an open container for 24-48 hours to let the chlorine evaporate, you will also need to test the ph of the tap water, if it is to high or to low(often to high) you will need to add something to adjust
Agreed with all above but some people only go 2 gallons per gallon. Are you flushing flushing because of nutrient probs or are you just finishing up the end of your grow. If you're not doing a hard flush you don't have to use so much just switch to regular plain watering
Sorry guys... But I don't agree.. Don't pH adjust your tap water for flushing (not with pH up/down anyway)... Why would anyone adjust their flush water?? Your basically defeating the purpose.. By adjusting your water your adding either potassium of phosphate which the plant will break down into food... Which is not flushing really is it.. The plant doesn't need correct pH to eat its own reserves.. Just (if you can) bubble your tap water for 24 hrs before you use it.. Yes use 3x the amount of water that your pot holds.. Run it through slowly bro..

This is my method and it seems to work, if its a mid grow flush or to sort a PH problem I will adjust the PH but I won't leave it out for 24 hours my feeding water I do but not flush,it's only a small amount of chlorine in water and it only affects a plant if its in every feed, I learnt this from are very own Muddy. The end of grow flush is 2 weeks of tap water with no PH adjustment,I don't flush 3 x the size of the pot at the end just in the middle.
