All things good.
Not 100% sure where to post this. But having some troubles and questions about flushing. Would love to get some feedback from someone who has some experience. Ok first off heres my scenario...... Just finished up my first harvest. It was dried 5 days and cured 15. Has a great lemon, sour, very pungent smell and no more plant like flavor but it's taste is still noticeably unpleasant. I'm thinking the problem was i harvested it while flush was still reading 400-500ppm being impatient. Now I have my second harvest imminent but I don't want to under flush this time. Plant is grown in a half gallon fabric pot 50% coco 30% perlite 20% my organic mix. I've been flushing my largest girl yet for 9 days every three days so far. Giving as much water as the soil can hold plus about 20% run off. Waiting 5 to 10 minutes and then repeating the process. First flush was with slp100 and Herculean harvest at ppm of 250. Run off was about 850. Second time only tap water ppm 150. Run off 500. But Today when I flushed I used tap water ppm 150. Run off was back up to 850. How long should i flush from here? Really needing to harvest soon trichomes are about 10% amber the rest nice and milky. Wondering if maybe anyone had some tricks or tips?

Hello! Its kind of a tricky question.. It sounds like the oganic soil mix you used still has a good amount of nutirent in it. I haven't seen my ppms rise back up like that when using straight coco. I have seen it happen in soils like ocean forest because they are packed with food for the plant. When I flush, I use herculean harvest and ro water. In a 2 gal pot of coco, 2-3 gals of water usually gets my run off under 100. In 2 gals of soil, it takes about 6 gallons of water to get the ppms under 100..

I would flush as much as needed to get your ppms as low as possible before harvest. Good luck bro!

Thanks for the reply @Prophetiko I'll have to get some ro water. I'll also try using a larger volume of water I've only been using 32-64oz at a time. I'll for sure wait on this one it was my best pheno out of the 6 I started. Has a sweeter berry like smell as opposed to sour lemony like the rest.

I use 3gal pots of coco. I drag them to the bath tub and water for a while, until the runoff is clear. Then I add back to my room for them to dry out for a day or 2, after thad I water to runoff for another 5 or so days. Never letting it sit in the run off.

Don't worry too much about your ppm in the runoff, that's what being pushed out. I run a 10 day flush (every third day) with herculean harvest. 10 days seems about right to smooth the nasties.

I do a flush, but a lot of grower don't and swear by it. I would not look how many days you have been flush, but how much h2O you have flushed with. I have heard it is 3 gal per gallon of coco, and 5 gal per gallon of soil. Not sure what's in your organic mix so that could add more flushing. When are testing run off? I wait until I have just a little bit left to flush, let it stop draining. Then i add last little bit and catch that run off. If you test run off to early, your reading will be higher. You may want to switch to plain water last 1-2. If you are using a flushing agent then you should be good with that. You may want to look at your cure process again. That is where I find my most trouble. I don't open them up enough do to time issues. Make sure your drying slow as well. Growing is the easy part, but curing takes some time to get down. You will get it may excellent grower here to help.
