Im very interested in this style of growing, I’ll pull up a chair.

So far super easy….. there’s a specific way to pack the corners so they’ll wick moisture up, without washing away….but other than that…super easy so far…. Just using bas light mix and ro water. Keeping the soil damp without being wet is the goal at this stage….. I use a pump sprayer to evenly water measured amounts of water onto the soil. The rule of thumb I read is to not water more than 5-10% of the soil volume, of water at one time. So that’s a half to one gallon at a time. Pretty easy. I expect germs to pop up in the next day or so….

Awesome. I will follow your journal. I have questions regarding the feed schedules in these so I will be taking notes. I see people top dress once in veg, once before flower, and mid flower. Everyone uses different nutrient sources so its interesting to me, to see all the different inputs people are feeding with. God speed to the babies and im ready to learn.

Just pure so far…one of those bas videos mentioned ro should be fine. I suppose I could bring it up to 100 ppm, though. What do you think?

COM told me the same thing which it did seem fine until maybe late flower. Then MOG talked me into mixing or bring the RO to >50 ppm. In theory RO should go acidic after mixing with oxygen but I never notice that but also checking ph on really low ppm water isn't always reliable. My water is really hard so? I say go for it I would love to be able to do just RO makes it easier I'd be curious to see what @Waira says

If your tap is chlorinated/chloraminated I've read across several Man O Green lectures that:

You can cycle your water in a 5 gallon bucket with a small aquarium pump to get rid of the chlorine

BUT

To get rid of the chloramines you have to add a pinch of ascorbic acid : Vitamin C

After that your tap water should be decent enough to use unless it's from a well and full of iron.
