Franks new thread

Oh don’t worry, it’s coupled with a light in a nice handy bundle  :pass:
Oh thats too much then. I just want a new tent my light can cover for more space to work around and I was gonna get a new exhaust kit and use my 3x3 for drying. Oh well.

It's cheaper to buy the light at hlg and tent elsewhere. They mark it up 50 bucks higher than msrp and then bundle it lol.
Id love to have an hlg light but its to rich for my pockets right now otherwise I would buy it today.

I did the math at one point for the 350 diablo. The thing goes out of warranty before the electrical cost savings compare to a middle of the line light... They're just not priced right.

Companies perceived as the industry "leaders" often are the ones with the highest prices/markups for otherwise comparable products. [You pay more for the name brand and latest technology].

I believe HLG uses HighDroGro tents($290 for 3x5x6). I found another 3x5x6.5 on amazon for a hundred bucks called Zazzy tents(missing some features). Vivosun makes the more common 2.5x5x6.5 though.

Edit: I've been down the weird tent size rabbit hole lately.
Don't be afraid of zazzy tents. I had a 4x4 for years with no problems and somebody is still using it currently. @Hotfire also used/uses a zazzy. I've even grown photos in it :pass:

The Zazzy 3x5 is what I'm planning to get myself. Standard tent thickness, looks to be decent zippers, priced well. I'm going to cram it in a corner so no need for side/rear doors anyway. Just wish it had the 3 x meshed vents at the bottom instead of just 1. Glad to see someone here using it rather than just relying on random amazon/youtube reviews.
