Extraction Freezing fresh sugar leaves and small pieces of bud

If one were to freeze fresh sugar leaves and small pieces of bud. Would that be okay? I don't want to smoke it, rather make butter or other edibles with it.
What would be the process?

Freezing Cannabis allows ease of separating the trichomes from the plant material. freeze drying / curing works too... just make sure you leave it in an open-ended container so the water can evaporate/ sublimate actually.
