Anyone done this?
water cure but freeze the jar with the bud in the water, then thaw and dry per standard water cure?
i gotta try it coming harvest. Call me crazy but vanilluna wants me to do it.:help::dunno:

why do this at all?

Once you water cure, you will have almost no flavor anyways. I am not sure at all what freezing it will do.

But, not to rain on your parade, I will keep posted to see how it comes out. Who knows, maybe you found the best thing ever.

:Sharing One:

Peace

Yeah why becomes the question lol

I basically have a ton of bud and with the market as is, figured try new things and like you said possibly something cool?

Frozen bud is weird, water cured bud is weird, fresh frozen trichs are good = wtf happens if I do this??

i guess short answer to why is simply to try canna in another prepared form as an experiment :)

I dont think its gonna be beneficial at all imo man.if you draw out the stuff via the water cure and then freeze the same water or even fresh is just about pointless imo.but experiment away.but if ya do it id not use the water while your trying to cure the buds too.you'll just be slowing your cure to a point of literally stopping it.like eek said if ya do it after wards its a moot point at that point.

lol I agree it likely will not be beneficial.

Im thinking maybe augment the experiment to involve a lengthy freeze, past average shelf life. I have friends in cold places lol maybe they can store bud better this way?

Im a very experimental grower, that's what sparked my autoflower interest originally, just something new. Gonna go shave my outdoor stalks down soon and see how they work as a hydro medium lol

ha just re-read this

yea i was thinking just that, literally freeze the process. There must be an application for that for someone somewhere.

still, not like i struck intellectual gold, im with you guys on that. But im glad I posed a scenario that made some ppl ask "why"? Lol maybe someone will read this and figure that part out?

i dont think so really..just my opinion ofcourse but as i said, its about literally changing the curing mediums properties and nothing else essentially.if your curing medium is altered so shall your bud be..in this case literally stopped curing.so in essence dont cure at all..?lol! now to water cure then say vacum seal bag and freeze it after its decarbed for example and see ther storing length and if it maintains a potent level(s) or does it decline after say 6 months or more after the initial sealing of cured bud..?lol i dunno.

Lol. Did I not mention boiling the bud in the water first, dumping in a solid pour of ISO and then freezing in one of those vac sealed jars that came with my food saver?
