My space is i metre by 1 metre but can be expanded as they grow, I have a 6oo watt sunmaster and i am using a digital ballast set to 650. The window is open and the fan is on most of the time and is aimed at the floor so i get a little movemant. They are in Biobizz soil and i am using biogrow. They are starting to flower so will start/ add biobloom in the next few days.
I have a couple of questions but it has taken ages to get these photos up so will post when i can see i have done it

yep done it!

1/ Do i use the biobloom as well as the biogrow, or switch

2/ Is humidity important, obviously in a tent it is, but i am not sure that i can control it in the room i have, my mate grows in the garden and we have don't have humidity in london!

3/ The yellow/brown leaf is the only problem and the other 4 plants are fine, should i worry?

4/ Is around 9 inches from the canopy about right?, below the bulb is a heat deflector and i don't appear to be getting heat burn.

thanks to you all, my first grow is looking good, (or is it?)

Its had the same treatment as all the others and some were nearer the light? It hasn't spread and all other 4 are fine so maybe its just a abnormality.

1/You use the grow all the way through and add on the bloom when you start to flower.

2/Humidity is important but if you are not monitoring or controlling it then there isn't much you can do. Keep an eye out for mold.

3/ I'm with Si looks like light burn

4/ 9 inches can be too close. I hold my hand at the top of the canopy and if the light is too hot for the back of my hand it's too hot for the plants. Otherwise I keep the light as close as possible.

Fan in... no fan out, is probably not enough circulation... consequently, it almost has to be too hot in the cab. Also, when I was using a 600wHID, I had them 14" to 16" from the canopy. If mine had been at 9", it would have burned them, no question.... and I had a vented hood. :peace:

Brilliant answers thank you all  1/ I will raise the light a little. As you say there is nothing i can do about humidity so i will check constantly. 2/ I am getting another fan so i can swap round and have one on all the time.
3/ Bio Bloom i am getting today. I have been using 2 mill per litre, of the biogrow (it says 2-4) So maybe 1mill of each of biogrow & biobloom and then build up to 4 of each ? does that sound right
cheers

If you want to raise humidity if you think its low then wet some towels or rags and put them in there..
When you start bloom you could keep your grow at 2ml or 1ml and drop it completely 3 weeks before harvest. You dont realy need 4ml of the bio bizz products i know they say that but 3ml is plenty. I only go up to 4Ml with the Bloom and bio heaven the last 2weeks.

so use 2ml grow and 1ml bloom then 2ml grow 2ml bloom for the first week of flowering then up it to 3ml bloom 2ml grow untill say 3 weeks before harvest thn you want to get the N out of the plant so stick with just bloom at 3-4ml the last 2-3 weeks:thumbs:

IMG_0050.jpgIMG_0049.jpgIMG_0043.jpgIMG_0041.jpgThanks again i am off to my west london gro shop today for the biobloom, i am thinking of getting some top max as well, i will be here for another couple of hours so any tips on topmax are welcome. I can't ask at the shop as advice concerning weed is a no no, i always refer to chillis/tomatos. This is my first grow and i would hate to do a silly thing wrong and f...k it up. Or spend money on a needless thing.

MY grow space and method is

Biobizz allmix soil, 600 hps, in the corner of a room surrounded with reflective material and the windows are open with a fan running most of the time

You need one in and one out all the time... that's two on all the time your lights are on. I had to use much more powerful fans than you are using when I had a similar set-up, as well.

But, to be honest, you seem to have gotten by okay so far, except for the burning from the lamp... If the issues escalate, you will probably need to beef up the ventilation. :peace:

Cheers, will carry as i am (with another fan) on and post more pics next week
