Gastro Jr. Tester

Gastro Jr. is wanting to flower. Taking her time but still stretching. Every time I open the tent I’m hit in the face with gassy fruit goodness. I bet this one is gonna be a treat! I cut off some lower larf branches this time to hopefully put more energy towards the top. Here in 2-3 weeks I’ll probably remove the fan leaves on bottom.

Looks like it's time for a defoliation, get some air circulation.
Yeah I was thinking to do that soon once it’s done stretching. I removed some lower branches and large fan leaves first of flower. Usually 3 weeks in I remove many inside leaves. But might need to do soon. She has a lot of bud sites popping up. I just tied the top down she was getting close to my light. Monster. I’ve got a co2 mushroom bag in there. Every time I use those the plant gets so big.

Gastro Jr. is growing so big! Thank goodness I’m getting a bigger tent next week I’m gonna need the extra space and height! Lots of bud sites on this one.

This thing is huge! Seems to be growing big for everyone. Make sure you have room for this one! It’s got a very fruity, strawberry, skunky, gas with maybe a slight pink bubblegum smell. This is definitely my biggest auto to date. Looks like a dang photo! Super frosty and looks to be dense buds. Can’t wait.

If you have room, consider spreading out all those branches. Just pulling some branches out some would give a lot more light and air to a lot of buds. In the extreme (don't look to have space for it), flatten out the canopy using a SCROG net.

And consider at least some strategic/selective leaf removal.

I did clean up the bottom and remove some inner leaves. I just got a bigger tent and had this in a 2x4 with another plant in flower I recently harvested. Going forward I’ll have probably 3 plants in the tent. Personally haven’t been going for scrog method. I don’t use a lot of weed and just like a variety so I tend to grow mostly natural. I did tie the top down on this because it was so tall and tied some branches down on the bamboo stakes.

Gastro Jr looking frosty. She’s a stinker for sure. I think I’m having some Nitrogen or Magnesium issues. So I’ve switched up some stuff.

I had switched to a calmag without N and just tried switching back to see if that helps. The highest recommended dose was low ppm so I’m thinking that’s the problem. Also had some tip burn I think due to not watering until enough runoff. Was feeding 1.5 gal and upped to 2 gal.

When I open the tent she’s stinky. Sugar leaves have a real fruity and a nice skunk smell I haven’t found in a while.
