Please excuse my ignorance but this is my first exposure to autoflower . I was under the impression that autoflower cannabis could be grown like any other indoor house plant but the further I read the more confused I become . I see discussions on lighting , fertilizing , etc . My question it appears is can autoflower cannabis be grown like your normal houseplant without all these elaborate setups . Thanks .

it will grow but how good and how much will you yield. its not an ignorant ? at all. im interested in what people say because my first grow would have been better if I left her alone.lol less than 3 grams

Ya, unfortunately auto-flower cannabis does not mean you can set it down with your philodendron and wait for nugs! I wish!! Auto-flower means just that, it should flower without changing the photo period to 12/12 for it to produce flowers. You do need to put a bit into it. A reasonable investment in time and some materials should produce a decent yield.
If you need stealth for whatever reason, that does add expense and complexity. A few lights and a nice place to grow should get you started. Adding some nutrients would help too. There are ways to do this simply and affordably, but an investment in time and research will pay off quite well.
Peace and Happy growing!
