Outdoor Germinating Straight to Outside

Not sure how well dwarfs will do in the ground, you can always disguise planting containers or be sneaky about where you put them. To be clear I started the plants in those containers and up-potted to two gallon nursery pots. Got some great 18-20 inch tall single cola girls from that MI5 x jem pollen chucking I did.

Cool about the catnip, I actually have some seeds too. :D

So, you just sprouted them indoors, then popped them outside and grew them out. Gotcha. I think I will have some pretty good results as long as I handle the bugs and animals. We'll see I suppose. Just worried about the rain kinda, it has been raining a lot here and just won't dry up!

Thanks again guys. :D

i've sowed a couple auto's after germ inside. put straight into pots outside and every one had popped. i also did this with couple photos. havent had a single problem one kinda stretched on me but. i replanted it depper and is doing great. i had doubts about sowing straight out but it worked really well for me.

Hey Squid I have always put my seed straight in the ground with hardly any problems at all. Until now I didn't have a way of starting them indoors and I didn't want to start germ in paper towel and take a chance breaking them carrying them to my grow spot so I would just walk to my spot and put the seeds straight in the dirt I had had great success with this.

This year I did the same but a few didn't come up not sure if the way the mother plants was started has anything to do with it but until this year all the plants I have grown was all bag seed not anything that you can buy.

I have over 200 in the ground with no inside time. The first 100 were planted the first of march, and withstood many night under 20 degrees. I refuse to baby my stock as this leads to pussified plants. Mother nature must be allowed her cut of the mix. Like me she likes the pussy and will take them all. What is left is worhy of breeding. I beleive that this was not done and has led us to needing a intensive care first trimester to grow outside. I expect huge losses at first but futyre generations will get stronger. How about my 10 or so volunter stock. They were up the 26 of feb. and is still growing. Not only did I start them all outside, I did this in a group, then DUG them up anf transplanted them to their final spot. Try that with normal autos!View attachment 209775Here are just a few.

Hey Stonemaster,
Got a journal going?
I would love to follow your outdoor grow.
If so, please provide a link.
Thanks

Here we are on feb.26. As you can see I left a fully seeded female in the patch last fall. The markers of the others are still there. The seeds that fell overwintered then germanated. I got 10 of these , then dug them up and moved them. Of course these will all get pollenated. You can see I am taking a different approch to breeding.View attachment 209776
