Ok so my auto flower has been in a cup of water with foil covering it for 31 hours now. It cracked open about 11 hours ago and the root is barely visible but it is visible.. I was planning on leaving it there until tomorrow for the root to be a 1/2 inch.. But I read online if you let them soak after they have cracked it can cause stress to the root.. Should I go ahead and plant these puppies or what? Any help is appreciated.:hot:

Typically soaking more than 24 hours isn't a good thing, seedlings aren't meant to sit in water and once they've cracked it's much better to get them in dirt. Even if they don't crack in 24 hours of water, they have a better chance of cracking in dirt after that.

Do I keep the seed moist in the pot until I see sprouts? Just planted her.

if your soil was wet enough to get a runoff ph test, all you need for the first week is a spray bottle......then a teaspoon per plant every few days is usually enough thru the second week...
if you can find a clear little plastic cup to use ....keep the sprout covered for a couple days.....keeps her moist and warm..also saves on frequency of misting..

Thanks guys. You vets are the best! I swear I've had so much trouble getting replys from other sites! Thanks again! I'll keep you guys updated! :)

One more question... Should I put one 23 watt over her? Or all 5 23 watts? Or complete darkness? I'm afraid if I do complete darkness she will get cold cause my basment tends to get cold at night.

I think soil warmth is key to successful germination....put a single bulb a few inches over the pot....if the floor or ambient air temps are below 60f, then place a bulb or 2 low down ,near the bottom/side of the pot...to keep the soil warm

Ok newb mistake. I planted her about 1 inch deep last night. Is she gonna make it? I have other seeds coming my way incase she doesn't.
