Looking for some people’s opinions on Gia green in coco I’m using a mix of happy frog and canna coco with Gia green adding worm castings every few weeks as needed to keep biology fruitful and healthy what are your experiences with coco and Gia green and what made you try this method of growing crop king White widow auto

You are trying to mix coco and organic, not a good combination. Coco is a hydroponic medium, if you want it to work well, you have to use hydroponic nutrients.

OTOH, your plants seem to be doing well, so the Happy Frog may be compensating for the coco.

I think the issue is we're trying to build up microbes in a dead medium. But we are showing it can be done. I did however add a cup of castings to my 3gal coco, so I cheated a little.

Ya I mixed 50/50 ish coco and happy frog and added castings at first week of flower and will in another few weeks iv been having grate results so fare actually loving this method of growing

Whatever cures your bud peeps, but organic nutes and pure coco are a bad combo. Organic nutes do not provide much to plants until the microbes have their way with them for a significant amount of time, which is the reason most soil recipes using these nutes require "cooking".

When coco is mixed with soil, we have a different picture, one that I have zero experience with, and not enough knowledge to predict likely results. The results that some of you are getting suggest that it may work out some times. However, the real question is whether you would be better off with pure coco or straight organic soil rather than a combination. I suspect that a grow would be better off one way or the other rather than combined, but that is just opinion, I have not tested the idea and am unlikely to.

Fare enough iv by no means been growing a long time iv been following some advice from a popular you tube channel when I ran the ideas past the owner of my local grow shop he said I would be fine as long as I mixed at least half soil to coco ratio and so fare has proven to me pretty reasonable results I was tired of mixing nutrients and formulas every day in coco but didn’t want the complete soil grow due to slower growth potential for bugs maybe coco and soil mix slow release fertilizer is to good to be true but so fare it’s been okay for me and worked for the channel on YouTube iv been watching

I think once you start mixing coco to the 50/50 point I don't think it's fair to call it a coco grow anymore. If your were to start feeding liquid nutrients you wouldn't want to treat it like a typical coco grow at that point either. You would ph and water it like as a regular soil grow..

I agree once you've mixed it this much its pretty much just a peat substitute for thr soil mix
