New Grower GN Ms0006 first time grow questions

I was a bit worried about the temp of the ceiling being higher than other ceilings in the area and standing out should it be frosty or snowy etc?
do you think these LEDs would have any affect on that.. also with blowing out the added heat from the heater that will be running?

Nah - the LEDs will have no effect on that. They give off less heat than your television set. :)

I would just exhaust through a filter into the room _ rather than trying to exhaust through air vents in the wall.

I don't think I explained correctly

the loft space has the small air vents and 2 air bricks.. so its always pretty cold in the loft

If possible, you'll want to make an enclosure within the loft - or a tent.

If you can enclose the 1m x 1m it will be easier to control the temperature in the grow area. If it is just an open loft - then you will need to raise the temps in there in winter and lower them in summer.

Let me know how you get on with controlling the temps - it's something i've been considering. - My early thoughts would be (if the loft were open plan) to line the inside of the roof with IR shielding and get a 600w or 1000w with parabolic shade for winter - keep a few plants under it and hopefully that will keep the temperature usuable.

Then in summer swap over to the LEDS as there's not a cats chance in hell of keeping the loft cool with that much light and without some serious industrial air con.

Thanks for the advice

So this is the plan:

my 1m x 1m room will have 4 plants under the light
using a carbon filter to extract heat/air in to the loft space above this room and have it blow out in to the loft space. (Again the loft has 2 air bricks and about 8 small holes designed to let it breathe)

based on that if the filter does it's job no odour should escape and the temp should remain low as the loft would normally be cold with all the outside air blowing through - so no odd heat spots on the roof
