Looks tasty ... I quit using air pots because they dry out too fast for me ... since switching to 4 gal round I've had better yields and easier grows ... 4 gals of wet soil weighs enough to be moving around ... Soil tabs and Flower tabs have played a large part in my increased yields ...

I'm pretty excited to see your grows with that COM soil that you mentioned in the Organics forum!!! I fed the larger plant some Heisenberg tea tonight that I had brewed up for the veggie garden, although I kinda feel like it's not gonna make a huge difference.. They're all reaching end-of-life, so I'm trying to space it out so that it's a plant a week, although taking this one down was a bit premature, as I wished it had gone an extra week or 2.. It hadn't gained any girth in 2 weeks, and all the pistils had changed.. I'm at a 10-20% amber trichs and some purple highlights, so I'm good..

As for the next plant to take down, it's gonna be closer to 20-40% amber, a little bit further than I'd like but I haven't taken any of my plants this far along, so I'm interested to see the couch-lock that ensues.. My wife has been having issues sleeping lately, so maybe this will knock her into a coma for a good night's sleep!!


With any luck, the seeds will pop tomorrow, and I'll either throw them under the humidome for a couple weeks, or throw them straight into the fold of the grow box and see where they go.. RH in the basement is at a stable 50%, inside the box drops to low 40's when the lights are on..

The box is odd dimensions, as it's 2.5ft deep by roughly 4.5ft across and with the ventilation system, I've got about 4-5ft of allowably height, but I am going to be trying some training this go around.. I still have bud left from the previous NLxBB grow, and soon to have a few ozs of Candy Kush, so I can afford to fuck something up and still be on par with where I need to be!!..

I've been reusing soil for many grows ... I add a little new and mix it up ... to me soil is there just to hold water, anchor the plant and buffer ph ... I let the soil and flower tabs do most of the work ...

Good sized space ... I think most of my training in the future is going to be super cropping ... so quick and easy and effective ...

Here's a couple pics of my friend's plant ... it was stunted by too much heat and not enough fresh air ... better watering discipline would have helped also ... I super cropped her twice over the past couple days and it made a big difference ... just fed her 1/2 a Flower tab ... I'll be back in time to get harvest pics ... not sure what it is ... bet it doesn't produce and oz.

That's a shame since it's a good seed, too!!! Is your friend going to be updating the air flow in the mean time?? I just ordered another inline fan so I can further boost the filtration of the box because it still stinks in my basement and i'm not trying to advertise what's going on down there.. I had considered plumbing my output into the home's HVAC to pull more of the warm air away from the grow area during the summer so I could run another light, and maybe redirect it TO the grow area in the winter because night time temps can get down into the low 50's.. Even when I changed the light cycle to be on overnight, even during the day, temps were a little on the cool side.. Not necessarily bad when I was doing hydro, but soil seems to enjoy the warmer tempa..

It was some sort of Mephisto Skyrone Stomper I think ... I have a few more seeds ... I hope to grow one some time to see what he missed out on ... I have no doubt that it endured temps well into the 90*s for weeks on end ... August here was a bear and he has no AC ... maybe he'll get some nice colas from it ... I doubt there'll be a change in ventilation unless I do it when I get back ... he may have to confine his growing to the cooler months ... his yields have been smaller ever since he switched to a tent ... used a UHaul wardrobe box for several years w/ all grows being bigger and better than what he gets now ... I leave in a few days to return in a month ... see how it looks when I get back.
