Indoor GodAmJT's semi-perpetual, usually green grow.......

lol you can say that again!!! My original goal when I first started growing a bunch of years ago was to never pay for bud again.. Well, unfortunately, I've still had to buy bud a handful of times; mostly because some of the phenos I grew turned out small and unimpressive, BUT, for the most part, I grow enough to support the dabs, the edibles and the smoking stash, usually with some to toss to friends, vets, homeless, etc... My wife is also a patient, so it turns out well..

In the next week or so, once the AutoCOBs get here, things are gonna start expanding.. If they get here sooner, then I will start the 4 Dinafem auto White Widow XXLs to get an idea of their size and whether or not they'll fit in here well..

I just went through my seed stash, and what I thought was a good amount of stock, turns out that I only have about a year's worth of growing, so I may have to get on the seed-buy-train again..

So far my favorites:

1. Fastbuds Auto Pineapple Express: Plants turned out wicked small, however the bud was some of the best tasting/strongest I've ever grown!!! I have 2 more seeds and am hoping for something that produces more next round

2. Nirvana Blue Mystic auto: Amazing flavor, easy to grow, large producer, definitely gonna be one I get a 10pk or more for..

3. Dinafem Critical Jack: Another amazing producer with a great post-cure smell and taste!!!

4. Ministry of Cannabis White Widow auto: Great producer, great smell, great bud!!!

5. DP Blueberry auto: Took a little longer to cure for optimal taste/smell, but everyone who smoked it loved it!!

6. Auto Seeds Candy Kush Auto: Amazing smell, decent producer, WORST munchies I've ever had!!!

7. World of Seeds NLxBB auto: Grown these a few times and they are extremely consistent and a good flavor.. Had one that didn't auto and produced about 6oz. dry, so things could be worse, I suppose!!

8. Heavyweight Fruit Punch auto: Great producers and easy to grow, but either I had issues drying/curing, or the bud just didn't have that strong, fruity smell.. Just had a lot of it..

Anyway, just to recap my previous threads on this stuff.. Feel free to wade through all of this, as there is some info in here, mostly about strains.. I have another thread that I stopped using over in the "New Growers" section, as I felt after 5yrs, I'm not really a "new" grower anymore but that could be arguable.. lol
What a great post, thanks. If somebody doesn't wake up thinking that today i am a new grower again, IMO they are just waiting for disaster. I feel the same way. Thats a ton of grows under your belt and a review to boot. Dude would love to have you on the back porch around the fire here in Gaugetown to smoke a bowl and talk about whats in our jars and how it got there. Its good to see a grower who is dipping into different breeders gene pools and letting us know whats out there. I dab and smoke for now. I am a disabled vet myself so thanks for hooking up my brothers and those in need.
I am going to have space soon after my MBAP finishes. Fastbuds Auto Pineapple Express 5 gallon DWC?

It's a humbling experience to have a solid crop go to shit overnight and sitting there wondering what happened.. I'm a disabled vet as well, so part of my make-up is for contingency and such so I do a lot of prophylaxis, even indoors, so never feel like any effort is wasted because in the end, anything you tried to make successful, I mean REALLY tried to make successful, is a learning lesson.. Even if it sucked, like my first attempts at hydro, I learned that there are other things that need to be addressed before taking on something of that magnitude..

It reminds me of the first car I built.. 1973 Mustang Fastback.. Body and drivetrain were immaculate.. Beautiful, in all honesty.. I did an engine and threw a roots blower on it.. My father, old-school musclecar-head said, "You should probably break it in a bit more and test the blower before you bring it to the track.." Me, being the young turd that I was, of course didn't listen to the seasoned man who had many-a-street races and track disappointments before.. First run on the track, I mildly over-rev the engine that I didn't fully build, might I add, and the added boost made tossed salad of the lower end of the engine.. Spewed 6qts or so of oil all over the track and learned a very expensive and valuable lesson; doesn't matter if you've got the biggest, baddest set-up, without proper preparation and foresight, you're just waiting for disaster.. I've taken that on as a principle of life and try to prepare and plan for as much as I can, but also respect the fact that there are elements and events that will arrive with no warning or preparation, so we've got to be light-footed and swift-thinking to make it through..

Thanks for your service @Gauge Steel !!! I know it sounds cliche and such, but seriously, you stepped up when 90% of the U.S. wouldn't/couldn't, and that takes balls, even if it wasn't what you thought it was gonna be!!!

Well, I suppose it's been a while, looking like a couple months.. A lot has changed and a lot is appearing to be changing in my world.. The wife and I are trying to close on a house which means that I will have a chance to actually custom-build my own grow-room.. Being that I work in construction now, it's easy for me to call up a few folks, have them here doing their trades, smoke a ton of bud with them, and voila!! Well, I'm gonna try to remember to get some pictures and some final shots before I start up the next round.. I hate having these breaks from growing, but this also gives my recycled soil a little more time to steep and breakdown.. Here are some recent shots of some of the things I've done since September..

Thanks!!!! I have 6 of them running in the grow right now, but plan to get 4 more and cut the HPS down some wattage.. I like the spectrum of the HPS and it would cost a fortune to try and replicate it with LEDs/COBs, so I will always have one, even if it's a smaller-wattage unit!!!

Now, I just need to figure out why my recent recycled soil is so P-ish deficient and micros..

bushes and cobs!, what's not to like!

Don't mind if I do!!!

Been quite a while and a few things have changed.. Even today, I re-arranged the room and set-up my old grow-box so that when I kick my photo plants over, I can start some more autos and keep it perpetual!!!

20180202_171812.jpg

The area is covered by 2 600w HPS and 6 3500K AutoCOBs.. Lots of light spread, and the area is roughly 5ft x 9ft..

This was before the expansion..
