I'm Dafthandler. I have been lurking and reading for a while now, but finally thought it time to introduce myself so that I can get some good advice for my future plans.
A good mate grows, and I have helped all along the way. The first grow he did was NL under CFL's in an old school locker. Nothing technical, just NL in coco under lights, hand watered twice a day. He then got a tent with a Gavita 600 SE, and did some NL auto's, with the last 6 weeks of the autos overlapping with some NL photo's, saves some electricity costs yo! All went well, but had a break over summer.
Recently, and to bring us up to date, he has started a new grow, with NL, Deep shag and White widow. The WW didnt germ, so he popped in a few freebies, Barney's farm LSD and Vanilla kush. Only the VK survived. We had set up drip feeding irrigation with 8 drippers but only 7 girls, so he popped a Dr Kripplings Dizzy heights as we were a week behind the rest (all photos) by this point. So thats it, 4x NL, 2x Deep shag, 1x Vanilla Kush and 1x Dizzy heights. Since then we popped a Critical Feminized Autoflower as well, just to fill a gap!
The Dizzy lights caught up in a week, and is now twice as tall! stomping on ahead and showing pistols at a day over 4 weeks. I am starting to think that autos might just be the way to go. No one could tell the difference between the NL and the NL auto produce.
So i am thinking of doing my own, and have been reading about the short seeds line up, with Blue Himalaya appealing to me for a SOG. Then I read about the 500+g Tha Shiznit grow, and am now thinking about just doing a rolling 2 plant TS grow. start 2 every 6 weeks. Even half that taking would be amazing! Ahhh the decisions! Also wondering about LED lights as heat has been an issue in my mates tent, will either copy his set up, or move on to LED's with a closed tent and CO2 supplements. Looking forward to hearing some thoughts on the above!
