Good Organic Soil and Nutrients

I used the Fox farms happy frog for years. It will not burn like the Fox farm ocean forest dose and is super consistent. The one problem I have with Fox farm soil though is how it compacts on me after a few months. Now I use Roots organic and like it a lot better and has a better texture. Like many in hear I don't use bottled nutrients any more. Its cheaper in the end, has better quality and is more consistent to use amendments for me. I have just tried the Fox farm tri pack on a photo and don't like the tiger bloom at all its too hot. I don't like the grow big either. The big bloom is good but mild. The Aurora line of nutrients, Buddha bloom and Buddha veg is great and I have had good success with then and autos. Also make sure the cal/mag you get dose not have nitrogen in it. If you feed your more than likely going to have to PH your feedings.

yeah but most all of the stuff you mentioned is far from real organics, even simplified organics. and Fox farms soil really has some serious issues across the board these days. roots had some pest issues from storage generally speaking ,but the big Bloom is mild and can be used in heavier doses, but lightly light bigger doses. the guano can tend to throw the soil outta whack. but it can be done to deliver a slight more punch(guano based) but a good soil is key. and the chleted foods from bottles ultimately dehydrates the microbes and life from the fake salts that are present. naturally occurring salts are far more tolerated by the life verses trying to piss it off and/or killing them. glad you arent going to the bottle anymore either, lovely way to smoke eh?!

The smoke is a lot smoother, my yields have gone up, grows are more consistent and I can replicate a grow, the smell and flavor are way better and I don't worry much about feeding and PH. You would be proud I reused some soil my last grow too. I reused some soil I mixed for an auto and re used it for a photo in the bottom 1/2 the pot. I had a lot of guano, manure and bone meal in it. The plant ended up being my second largest harvest with the fullest buds and best quality. I honestly think the cycling of the nutrients up and down caused by feeding with bottles is what causes the difference in flavor now. I have over fed with organics using just soil amendments and the finished product still turns out amazing but with bottles the quality suffers if I over feed and its hard to recover from. The only problem I have now is not letting the soil cook long enough and judging how hot to mix for the strain I am growing. I am now realizing that my soil should cook for around 2 months instead of 2 to 4 weeks like I usually let it so I have to start planning grows farther out now.

Good Morning Folks-

Upward growth has stopped. She is now at Day 51. Noticed some browning on some of her leaves, I am thinking I loaded her up on too much cal/mag. I will only give her distilled water from here on out.

Take a look at this morning`s pictures and add your wisdom and feedback.

Good Morning All-

As I mentioned earlier, I will stop all cal/mag and only give her distilled water as this Thursday she will be at 8 weeks from sprouting. Besides some discoloration in her leaves, I believe she has been given too much cal/mag, Today I will only give her water and keep a fan on her, We will see how she does.

Going fishing!

I would do a light flush on her to wash some of the cal/mag out of the soil, not a full flush but water tell you get about 1/4 gallon run off and after a few days pull the real bad leafs off.

Hey joe-

That's my plans this evening. I was always told not to remove the leaves as they will fall off when dead. True or false?

Good Morning All-

Last night I only gave her distilled water as I believe I gave her too much cal/mag. Leaves are beginning to dry up and curl. Take a look at these pics and let me know your thoughts. This Thursday she will be 8 weeks old.
