So I just made a smart ass remark about grafting and then got to thinking.

I am sure grafting would work, though I haven't tried it on any plant. *LOL*. But it should work fairly easy on cannabis I would think.

So I am wondering then if one could graft various autos onto one rootstock of either a ruderalis or a photo. IF you could graft onto a rootstalk, you could possibly then have a multiple pot strain for a balcony or small space growing.

Any input or am I just too stoned and letting the imagination out to play?

Update: Here is a video on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEf-5MoB2rA

Yes as you said, it should be easy.
I have also seen it done with tomatoes.
I would like to try as you say with an auto grafted to a good strong photo. I did attempt to try once but the problem is to have seedlings that match in size because they don´t grow at the same rate.

Rilla.

Only problem would be that you would run out of time if done on an auto.

It's not a terrible idea or anything lol, it merits some experimenting or playing with :) There's a couple points in regards to horticulture that would have to be considered. Cannabis is unique because it varies soooo widely in both sizes and growth rates, and both per age. Plants like oak trees and cacti are good grafters, they grow about the same rates within species and about exactly the same sizes per ages. Grafting with Cannabis would be a nightmare haha, everything is different sizes, growth rates, and shapes even. And oak branch looks like any other oak branch and tomatoes aren't too far varied within. I suppose it could be easy if you have cuts or clones, or maybe of the same strain idk? But it would be a gigantic pain in the ass to say, do various strain branches on one stalk or something haha. I think it's possible through, and not much will stop a stoner with a fun idea haha! I could see in some plant # restricted states, it would be worth experimenting on. :)
