Day 19 (16 days from popping dirt)
Thanks everybody for stopping by and checking in! I'm still at and have seen some lush growth over the last 2 days! I had been concerned about the top new leaves on the 60DW curling when they first start out, but after keeping a close watch for other problems (and none occurred) I think it might just be a little heat stress for the youngins. They straighten out and look healthy after a few days of growing.
The wings on the reflector trap a lot of heat and while I still have the lights so close to the pot, the wings block some of the fan circulation. I place the fan in the bath tub for about 6 hours a day to get a good breeze on the plants. Anything more than 6 hours of direct blowing air appears to be too much though. The 60DW (which is closest to the fan while in the tub) begins to wilt somewhat. It perks right back up when I remove the fan from the tub.
Last Friday I gave them a low dose of nutes (1/2 of what's recommended for seedlings on the AN Nute Calculator) and they appear to be be fine.
Well, so far, all seems fine so I'll continue to listen to the girls for their needs and carry on. Below a some pics from Monday and today. The 60DW took a big jump in growth. The White Widow grew nicely as well, but overall, she's still the smallest. I keep wondering when I should attempt LST, but they're both so bushy, I don't know how I would start it.
