Hey all, first post and first grow attempt and I wanted to get some feedback on my grown cabinet. I haven’t smoked for years and want to start again for pain relief.
I have some Nirvana NL Auto seeds on order, just waiting for them to come in. I will start a grow journal when I plant
I am going to grow with the following:
Soil – Fox Farm Happy frog, 70/30 Cocoa Coir, going to germ directly to the soil. Nutes will be Fox Farm. I have access to an HTG Supply.
3 gallon pot and planning to LST since my concern is that there is not a lot of room from the top of my pot to the lights to account for the height of the plant.
CFL’s – I have a mix of 6500k and 2700k bulbs. Most of the bulbs are 23W. I have enough room for up to 14 bulbs in the grow cab, I will be using two power strips and plug in Y adapters for the lights. I have checked the AMPS for the strips and with the number of bulbs, adapters for fans and with the wattages I am ok, oh and my breaker is a 20 amp for this outlet. The top lights can be adjusted up or down via chains and I also will look at adding two lights on either side for coverage for the lower foliage. I plan on picking up a 2 foot 4 bulb HO T5 light in a couple of weeks. I feel that would be a better light set up and will supplement with CFL’s if needed
The grow cab is 78.1cm high X 75.5cm wide x 60.3cm deep it will need to be stealthy since I am in an apartment. I will be using 1x120mm computer fan as intake, 2x120mm fans out (up to 79cfm each), all are adjustable speed wise fitted with ghetto carbon filters as I can’t afford anything else at the moment. I ran the one fan with the filter on low and it seems to be pushing enough air that I think it would work well.
I am going to post some pics of the cabinet and would like some feedback and/or suggestions on any changes or modifications that are needed.
So my questions are:
Is the light set-up going to be sufficient? Or should I wait to grow until I can pick up the T5?
Is the 3 gallon pot to big? I only have 7.5 inches or 19cm from the top of the pot to the lights. This is mainly where I would need some suggestions, smaller pots, different shaped pots, etc.
Thanks for any input or suggestions, I can’t wait until I plant and get to the harvest.

i would say that the pot might be a little big for the size of the box; but idk for sure cause i dont use a box. I use a bedroom in a basement. If it was me and i was in ur circumstances; as well as using a 3 gallon pot, i would grow like 3 feminized plants all in seperate solo cups then put them bitches in the 3 gallon pot together. just saying. do what u gotta do. Remember smaller pots means smaller plants! or just go with like 3-1gallon pots or smaller.

P.S. ur box looks nice, so long as you have an exaust, in-out for airflow! good luck bro-ski

everything looks great, except the filter. it is probably the single most important piece of equipment for your grow.
Why? Because it keeps your grow free from detection.
Skimp on lunch and everything else you can and get a filter.
A friend of my son's tried to do a grow with a ghetto filter and when it went into flower, he could smell it in the parking lot. he had to abort the grow.

Stickey, I have a 120mm intake and two 120mm for exhaust. Thanks I'll look at one gallon pots since I have a height restriction
Gtron, thanks for the advice on the filter, I will make sure to invest in one. The only thing is, the fans I have as exhaust are damn near silent. If I go with another type fan and filter, I'm going to lose the silence. Or are there Fan/filter combos that are as silent as the fans I have now?

Depending on wich one you go with I think you could find a decent fan filter combo that would accommodate you... The thing I'd be concerned with is the carbon combo taking up too much space with your limited space...even tho its small your stealth grow looks pretty nice bro ... Good luck
