Right lads looking for some advice on pots and grow medium mix. I've completed runs on Dinafems Moby Dick XXL and World Of Seeds Afghan Kush, just now I have 3 Sweet Seeds Dark devils...one at 56 days and 2 at a week old. I grew this in just plastic pots with BioBizz Allmix

Recently purchased 3 x King Kush and 3 x Super Critical both from a Green House Seeds. Been thinking of changing too 3 gallon smarts pots for this run. So would smart pots be a better option?

Also changing my medium by mixing the flowing but I'm not sure if it will work or not so looking for advice on this too

60L BioBizz Allmix
25L coco coir
15L Plagron Organic worm castings

As an extra I'm using the BioBizz nutes Grow,Bloom,TopMax and a Root Juice

Hi there, I'm looking for similar advice. I've seen a lot of the bigger plants grown in the air prune pots so thinking of giving them a go. I'm currently using 20L normal pots, would a smaller size air prune pot work better? Thanks in advance.

Your mix sounds a little heavy to me ... and a little hot ... I have both round 4 gal nursery pots and 3 gal airpots ... I use the 4 gal pots more often ... 20L will grow trees ...

Alright @Chester would you recommend going with light mix and purchasing bio heaven and alga mic and start the feeding schedule earlier or just go with the Allmix and start the feed at around 14 days?

I'm restricted for space so I reckon 3 gallons are enough buddy. Just wanted too see if smart pots or airports are better

3 gal airpot v. 3 gal round pot ... airpot wins ...

Some auto weed can handle hot soil ... some can't ... unless I know what I'm growing can handle the heat I err of the side of caution ... I would go w/ light mix and starting at 10 days begin top dressing w/ the worm castings ... from that point I'd use whatever fertilizer you want or whatever you have ...

After a chat with the owner of the hydro shop he recommended this soil. Any. Opinions @Chester

In my opinion the #1 thing to look for in soil is mild/no nutes ... a soil such as Light Mix is known to work well as are many others ... the second thing I look for in soil is the inability to form a mud ball when wet ... I want my soil loose and airy so that the roots will race thru it to fill the pot in the first 2-3 weeks of life ... I'm not familiar w/ the soil pictured but tell the hydro shop guy you want the mildest most non prefertilized light soil you can get ... there must be other plants that are as nute sensitive as auto weed ... that's the kind of soil you want ...

This is just my way of growing ... I'm sure there are a lot of more educated growers than myself here that might tell you completely different ... to me soil is to anchor the roots and buffer the ph ... I'll take care of the rest ...

I wish I'd joined this forum nearly a year ago haha I'm definitely putting my next seeds in a light mix. I've seen people mention the plagron light mix so I'm going to give that a go. Thanks

If you already have that 60L of All Mix you could cool it off by mixing it 1/3 w/ perlite ... lot of guys use ALL Mix successfully but it does occasionally run a little hot ...
