I used 4 gal for fast and vast, at the end they were root bound,,this time 7gal

Howdy all AFN'ers..Well its been sometime from the last visit..But I try'd the smart pots (3gal).. I have to give them a big thumbs DOWN over my 3 gal trash cans..The rood growth was way poorer and the final harvest was only half..I'm going back to my trash cans for sure..

I grew some pretty big plants out of 3g smart pots. They look pretty disproportionate when large but work fine imo. The roots werent anywhere near bound or even really showing at first when i peeled off the smartpot. Ive since picked up 3g (i think?) Airpots but made the switch just for reusability and easy of moving a rigid pot

Edit: heres one i chopped the other day, no giant but about 3' tall and probably 3oz+ and it was part of my 2nd grow

3 gal will insure no auto strain will root bound,but some strains that you gonna grow a 3 gal pot will be overkill as 2 gal is more than sufficient.
ive grown so far multi sizes upto 2.1 gal.this round im testing a 3.7 gal smart pot along 2 more 1.1 gals.

Dunno, at least 50 gal I suspect.......where did you get the 3 gal optimum from?

im not sure how is an auto flower strain with a several week limited veggy growth is to root fill a 50 gal pot.
