So I had a thrip problem in my grow room and was deciding what route to go down to solve issue. After a sleepless night and loads of research I had a brainwave, I also grow pinguicula's (flycatchers) so decided to put them in grow room and BINGO a lot were caught on the sticky leaves of the pings (short for pinguicula), so no chemicals needed and I imagine these plants would catch any bugs silly enough to crawl over the leaves, hope this will help anyone else with a bug issue in grow room.

I love this idea. Im ordering one now i dont have any pest problems yet but its always nice to have this around just incase

Just a tip if you are getting a Pinguicula, only use rain water ,tap water will kill them

I have very soft water ppm reads 14 sometimes lower gonna do some research on this plant

Soft water like that is fine. I grow Sundews, Fly Traps, Pitchers, etc. and have never had a problem using soft tap.

I also use my Sundews (Capensis/Binata)to control thrips and small bugs. They work great and grow like crazy.
