Hey guys, I have a few issues with temp. My grow room is currently in the house and I will be moving it into the garage. The temp in the garage is showing 46°F (8°C), as I am from the UK. I do not want to move it to the garage and kill the plant. How can I keep temps higher in the grow room as it will be dragging air which will be 46°F (8°C).

Grow Room - 55x50x110 (cm)
140mm PC Fan (Intake)
Carbon Filter with RVK 125mm fan (Outlet) running at 50%.
300W CFL

Thanks.

My garage is big and I dont think a heater will be a good idea.

Would this work?: Hylite Eco Tube Heater 1 Foot Without Plug

And would it be safe?

Depending on your budget and how many plants you have. You can get a heat mat to place under your plants to keep the roots nice and warm. 8c shouldn't be a problem for Cannabis if it is a good strain from a reputable breeder. Fairly certain that those temps won't be an issue for you.

Hmmmmmm. :smokebuds:

21.7 inches by 19.7 inches by 43.3 inches

or, roughly,

1 foot 9 1/2 inches by 1 foot 7 1/2 inches by 3 foot 6 inches

First step. Insulation. Insulation insulation insulation. Insulation resists the flow of heat from warmer areas to cooler areas. Insulation has an R-value. R-value is the measure of how resistant a material is to thermal transfer. The higher the number, the more resistant.

You can get get batt/blanket insulation for really cheap at pretty much any hardware store (like easily under $20 for a roll, maybe even half that depending on what you get.) I would insulate the heck out of the outside of tent first. That's going to be your most cost effective first option. If you are low on funds; even blankets can provide R-value. Just be careful of the material used if you're going to use external heat for the grow space (thinking flammability.)

We could explore some heater options; you could duct your intake so that it extends out of the grow space towards the blower or radiant heater. I think there a few other options here as well; let me do some digging for you. :smokebuds:

One of those tube heaters and some insulation is what I would be exploring.
My grow tent is a fair bit larger and allows me to use an oil filled electric radiator. It is in the basement and it gets chilly, down to the upper 40's F. I have also covered it with old sleeping bags for insulation, works nicely to stabilize temps. I am using CFL and LED lights.

Cheers for the advice, my plant would be dead without you guys lol.

The heat mat and heat tube are both good, however I am leaning towards the heat mat idea. Just hope it works and have no problems.

Would I be able to leave it on 24/7 all year round?

I am also in the U.K, just use a greenhouse heater sat just outside the tent. or the heat tube's are good as you can put them in the tent.

My garage is very big, so cant really heat the room up.
