Mephisto Genetics Grow through grids makes LST easy

TBH it is painful going thru a thread like that. Lots of off topic posts, tons of music videos etc. No disrespect to Skell. If I was following from the start it would be better. I was skipping thru a couple of a pages at a time speed reading and it was hard man. Maybe I have ADD and I need some meds for the cure! LOL.
I skim page by page reading the post that need a reading. Pics always catch my attention still like a kid in that aspect pic books lol. Always read the OP posts cause that’s the reason I’m checking what I can learn from said whatever great grower I’m following.

Haha yeah guilty as charged...i wanted to turn that thread into a party(and it did).

OK I got to page 50 out of 120 so far and I found nothing yet on the SCROG you did.

Couple of questions.
Did you do any LST training on that plant you scrogged while it was vegging indoors?
And at what page in that monster thread does the SCROG get going?
And final question. You grew some real outdoor monsters before without SCROG. I man really big. So are you convinced that the outdoor scrog is better than not scrogging?

LST - Yes i did topping and training as described in the monster training guide(article and tutorials section)

https://www.autoflower.org/threads/...on-4-dp-dinafem-sweet-delicious.64886/page-76 is where the scrog begins

Scrogging versus open canopy training - Scrogging is certainly more effective for stabilizing plants in high wind and torrential downpour weather. There is better canopy management control. If the screens were 8X8 instead of 4X4, then i would have a better scrogging system in place.

8x8 scrog. And it would still be over full lol. I gotta get somewhere I can try an outdoor monster. They r so beautiful and look so good out in nature

Sorry to butt in but if any of you are good at SCROG’n please drop by my latest grow and let me know if I’m screwing this up or not. Don’t hesitate to jump in and tell me what I might be doing wrong, cause at this point I’m not sure if I’m doing it right.

Feel free to butt in! I'm going to be in the bush for a few days with no internet access so you might as well use my thread while I'm gone!

Thought I'd post again in this thread. It's been a couple of weeks since I started using the grids on the pots.
Here are a couple of Sour Livers. It's a heavy indica strain and it grows bushy so you have to watch larf low and inside of the canopy. I find the strain responds well to LST as well.

The first one I left natural other than some leaf tucking. It has the dominant cola Xmas tree going on. So I used the grid more to spread out the growth a bit to keep some air around the main cola. And I used the grid for leaf tucking. The grid is really nice to have just for tucking alone. you tuck a leaf under a wire and it stays there. That's what this shows.

The next sour livers had the main stem bent during veg to encourage a level canopy and multiple colas. I was able to use the grid in a SCROG type of fashion with this plant and you can really see the flat top canopy of colas. I don't even know how to spell SCROG barely so this is just what I call SCROGGING even though technically it might not be true SCROGGING. But in this case the grow thru grid is definitely playing a different role and the plant looks very different than the first sour livers.

Here is a Fantasmo that I can't find a way to love other than shes the runt. For one thing I could not wrap my head around using the grid to SCROG this type of plant that wants to grow tall and skinny. So I dropped a grid in the pot but didn't do anything with it. I couldn't really as the plant stretched tall on me and I did not want to bend/break any branches. I didn't even use the grid to tuck leaves and the Fantasmo is so lean you don't even need to leaf tuck. And the Fantasmo is very, very slow in flower mode. And they will be small and loose buds in the end as well just due to genetics. Or maybe she will turn in to a great plant at the end. Hard to say.

If you live in Canada you should be able to get them. Company name is Pacific Rim Brackets out of BC. You'd have to contact them to see what retailer has them near you.

If you live in the US, I dont think you can get these exact ones. But i see some that look close to mine. Just search on "grow through grid plant support" on Amazon and that should give you lots of options.

This one looks nice. Powder coated instead of vinyl coated steel like most of them are.

Amazon product ASIN B072L89P8Y
I bought 5 more yesterday and put 2 more in the tent so I'm getting to know the product and how to use it better and better.

Thanks for finding something similar for us in the US. Appreciate it. Looks like I can still move the pot with the grid attached. Awesome.

I use a scrog net for 2nd level LST. My plants are generally at different ages and rarely grow two of the same strain at a time. For lower branches i generally tie off with pipe cleaners. The net makes it very easy to bend those tops and getting those lower flowers vertical.
I have a 62 day Sour Livers that responded as well to LST as any plant I have grown. With the SLs lower branch structure, could not asked for a better subject.
On interesting note, i have a sour crack that looks like mini sour livers untill u look at the stalk and node spacing.
Of course Sour Crack is one of the parents of Sour Livers. The Sour Cracks lowers are so stout, u really can't bend to train if u don't catch early.
Both of these were Mystery Mix beans and just figured out their ID strain in the last week. 1st Pic is the sour liver, shes about 40 cm and 62 days. 2nd is sour crack at 29 cm and 51 days.
I had trimm out both for air flow.

Is this your 1st scrog? I am interested in trying but unsure of the weaving order of the plant. Like how you put the branches through, I figure just let it grow and just go outwards but never find videos until its into flower lol. Gonna check yours out now bud.
