New Grower Growing Hemp and producing CBD oil in the UK

This is just a musing fellas and looking for a general chat around the subject. I noticed there seems to be a growing demand for CBD oil I did some very quick research ( 10 mins google ) and it appears from the info i skimmed through that its not illegal to sell CBD oil here in the UK but I wondered is it legal to grow Hemp plants for the production of CBD oil - Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this as always Ladies and Gentlemen

It is illegal in UK to posess cannabis plants, even one. Class B since 2009.
