Grow Mediums Growing mediums. What works best for you?

This is my third hydro grow. I use a flood and drain system and I use rockwool cubes. Being that I have never used any other method I was wondering if people have better luck with other grow mediums. I chose rockwool because it was quick and easy to setup.

Well I think it depends on what lighting system you have,I started with soil+hps,did dwc+hps but now I'm using led+dwc and the last one works the best for me

Im an in betweener:
Soil:Organic soiless mix
DWC:spongepots then into hydroton(leca)

I haven't tried anything else so I'm not experienced to know if this is best but i use Canna coco medium and nutes for the 2n'd time and I'm pleased with it. Didn't had any healths/nutes problem except when I overfed them a bit, but i quickly fixed it by geting a EC meter and a flush. It's easy to work with and with a good EC meter you are in complete control of feeding.
