Indoor Growing Scrog

Couple recent quotes Im using to get me on the right path. Is there anything else in the nutes department? Both products and tips. I want to go to the grow store tomorrow and grab everything I'll need. Start to finish.

"fertigated 5 times a day with General Hydroponics FloraNova Grow from day 15 to after stretch, then Drip Hydro A&B from after stretch to harvest"
"automated fertigation at day 14 now"

Looking through here Ive got reservoir with pump, tubing to grodan blocks, and drain tray back to reservoir. I believe thats the basics. The video I found with the search function was a year old. Are there any tweaks or preferred containers? Am I missing something?
If you understand the concept you can make tweaks yourself with whatever containers you can find. The unit I posted yesterday with the yellow lid is a very basic system that doesn’t require the top tub.

You can basically use any name brand nutrient line and get great results, but important to have a good PH and EC pen that you can rely on.

Start with your base nutrients from the start (350ppm).

Two Elufah 1500s. 150 watts each, max. Around $90 each with coupon. Light on the left has "Epar Boost" engaged with a switch on the light. Light on the right is veg stage -- less red.

Thanks for sharing @Mongoose!
Looks like good lights for the price. I like the light on the right with less reds.
Amazon is selling the 150watt Epars for $76 each.

Made my trip to the local grow store. I think I got mostly everything I need. Forgot to get the drain plugs for the tray but not a big deal. I got a 14 gal tote for the lower profile.

I need hydro help! Im starting at my water source. The main factor here is my budget. Ive got a pretty good tab going on this new grow. The 5x5 tent kit, $400 in different seeds, and the same in the hydro setup. Plus I have a few more things to get. So I can maybe get a budget friendly ro system that I would connect to the washing machine cold water or if possible to save some money use my tap water.

Heres the info Ive got so far. Turn my tap on let it run for 20-30 seconds 203 ppm. Tested with the blue vivosun meter you can get in a bundle. It says calibrated ready to use but I am getting a calibration liquid. My water report depending on the year says 50-70 mg/l calcium and 3-9 mg/l magnesium. The main question here! Can I add 15-20 mg/l magnesium to get the ratio right and then add my nutrients? I understand that RO is normally the better choice for hydro but could I get away with tap for a few grows?

Second is can I get some basic knowledge on the schwazzing? Below is what Ive found.

First session happens prepping for the net.
Remove all or almost all fan leaves
Couple weeks between sessions but defol top sites daily.
Could be 3-5 sessions depends on the plant.

Is it every 2ish weeks once you start and when do you stop? Is there a selection process for which leaves go or get left on? I'll add that I have a basic understanding of defol for air flow and light pen. Looking for those trade secrets. I noticed you leave longish stems sometimes when pruning. Is there a benefit or reason for it?

I like to start out at close to 0PPM and bring it back up with nutrients I know the plant will actually use but you should be able to get away with starting at 203PPM.

Yes, the first leaf strip happens while you’re prepping for the net and it should be done a couple more times during flowering with a couple weeks in between. The last one needs to be done around week 5-6 of flower after the plants stop producing leaves and is concentrating more on bud production.

It's on!

Hand watering for now.

Blackstrap 4" cube VS organic soil.

I will add a 6" cube under it as soon as I see any emerging roots

Currently 18/6 40DLI

Off to a good start @Drownomatic!
How come you didn't bury your pea pod into the 4x4”?
