Indoor Growing Scrog

Hey buddy!
Sorry for the late response.
Been really busy lately with life in general and had to take a break from social media for awhile. Finally got things under control so I’m hoping to be around here more often.
I think your direct link idea would be the way to go! Just need to do better with my updates to make it work right.
Really appreciate your help and input @Mongoose!

The best way to defoliate and maintain your canopy without breaking your back is to set your tent up about 12-18” away from any walls and completely unzip the tent when you need to work on your plant.

It can be done! 😉

Lol!!! 🤣
Thanks Dab!

Yes… it’s nice to have tents with 3 doors or have tents with walls that completely unzip.

Elevating your tents with a simple homemade stand or a reservoir will be a back saver.

I agree! It is difficult to find information and a lot of people don’t take the time to go through the thread.

I have an old office chair I use too. I also use an adjustable stool that works great for defoliation and canopy maintenance.
Your double net method is a good way to provide more areas to tuck if your squares are too far apart. I use green gardening wire to make my own areas to tuck when needed.

You’ll be able to get better results with the 420 method if done correctly. Only 4 weeks of veg needed and higher yields from flattening out your canopy. No lollipoping or bottom branches removed which adds to your overall yeild.
The 420autoflwer method is proven to take less time and will yield much more than your typical scrog grow. No waste, higher yield and quicker harvests with the 420 method.

Thank you Brother! 🙏

That’s really all you need!
A bit of 3.5” nylon netting and you should be good to go!

IMHO, tying your net to the 4 tent poles and completely unzipping all 3 sides when maintaining your canopy is the easiest way grow a single scrogged plant. My rolling outdoor scrog carts would work great for larger tents or tents that are up against the wall if you want the option to take the plants out.

Pruning is therapeutic for me at times. :rolleyes1: Defoliating while listening to a good podcast is always nice.

No risk at all! Just remove the wrapper to the height you want it buried.

Yes… 32x32x65” tents will accommodate just about any single auto scrog and you can unzip all 3 walls which is unlike most 24x24” and 28x28” tents where you can only access from the front.

Hello there!
Thanks for stopping by.

Nice!
How is she looking now?

Beautiful plant brother! :d5:

:thumbsup: :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you Deano!
:bighug:

General Hydroponics Flora Nova Grow, GH Floralicious, GH Rapid Start, GH ArmourSI, Clonex Solution and Mycos for the first 40-50 days. After stretch I switch over to Drip Hydro A&B and also supplement with GH KoolBloom, Cutting Edge Sugaree and continue with GH ArmourSI and Floralicious. I’ve noticed deficiencies when using a A&B nutrient line during veg but never have problems with FloraNova Grow since it’s a strait veg NPK.

Yes! You can run the FloraNova Grow from seed to harvest.

A proven product!

It will work just fine. 😉

Nice looking canopy you got there King!!!
:drool1:

Happy and healthy!
It’s best to bend the top over around day 15 so the plant has time to produce more side branching before flower.

You grow monster autos brother!
I think a scrog net is what you need if you’re having a hard time taming your plants. You can start by scrogging out a a single plant in your 5x5’ if you are worried about lateral space. You’ll definitely have your hands full with just one plant if you want to run a 420 scrog and have never defoliated before. There’s no lollipoping with the 420 method and the weakest nodes that are usually plucked off turn into some of the largest colas on the plant. A lot of work getting a monster 420 scrog over the finish line but possible with a little bit of knowledge and a lot of elbow grease.

767 grams out of a 5x5’ with 2 autos is respectable, and you also hit the 1 gram per watt mark.
We’re here to help when you’re ready to grow a 420 scrog.

Thank you!

Looks great for only being 19 days old.

I add a capful to a 5 gallon bucket after my silica and NPK. I use it the first 40-50 days for root health.

Love the shape bro! :eyebrows:

Frosty colas Deano!
Sawneys White Gen 3’s always turn out sticky AF!

Great idea but I think building a simple rolling scrog cart that you can wheel in and out of your tent would be easier. I can make them in a little over an hour with about $25 in materials.

Looking good!

:d5:

Second crop looks great!
You’re getting better at this bro.

Another nice canopy!
Good job brother!
I really enjoy and appreciate seeing all the different canopies that are being created and shown here.
Keep up all the hard work guys and thanks for posting.

You’ve got some dense nugs their Buddy.
Stuff looks fire!!!

I have big temp swings from day and night with my outdoor plants but I haven't noticed any difference in legginess.

Some fat colas bro!
:drool1:

I usually give a couple weeks in between my schwazzings but I do defoliate the top sites daily.

Any pics?

Congratulations Brother!
Another successful scrog.
They’ll just keep getting better and better my friend.
:d5:

Can’t wait to see this one take off!!!
Any Floralicious in your reservoir bro?

Good stuff deano.
I'm not trying to twist you're arm but I think you would do well with a reeker or a babadook plant in that style. Reeker is a chocolate skunk dr Greenthumd haze and babadook is a chocolope purple haze both on the sativa side .
Nightmare looks heavenly 😍

I cultivated a pair of Reekers last season, they were a good shout and I would grow those again. They were very similar to the WG but the Babadook sounds nice but some reason I've always stayed away from anything purple but can't actually remember why that might be :crying::crying:but i'm sure whatever the reason, it was one of those urban myths or something..

Cool! Must be a nice water meter.
How did your 1 gallon scrog end up turning out?
Getting ready to harvest
Looking like a possible 2 pounder. :eyebrows:

It's Day 100 for the Knightmare and she'll be harvested this time tomorrow. ;)

Too Many to choose from brother.
White Gen 3 has always been one my favorites. The cultivar consistently guarantees huge sticky and extremely dense colas and perfect for the 420 method. A little more foliage than I prefer but the end result is well worth the extra work.

I was similar with some strains back in the day but I learned everything has it's place.
I'm a big indica guy so I need the promised outcome of hard hitting and fast to grow , respect 🙏 🫡

Dropping in to say i started reading at page 40something a couple of days ago and just arrived at the end today. Gonna start at page 1 tomorrow and reread everything.
Hey guys, Im backkk. Ive gathered most replies from The Man himself and also from other helpfull ppl in this thread. Ive only gathered info that i find usefulll for me, so i skipped most post about Grodan blocks. Obviously just text without (schwazz) pictures will not do the 420autoflower technique justice, but i hope this will be helpful. Theres is A LOT more valuable information in this whole thread so dont take this word for word, more like pointing in the right direction. Ive put all the texts ive gathered in chatgpt and told it to make it a week-by-week summary.

Here it goes:

---

Autoflower Week-by-Week Grow Guide

---

WEEK 1 (Days 1–7) – Germination & Early Seedling

Lighting: 18–24 hrs/day

Feeding: Start 0.7 EC (350 ppm) with FloraNova Grow + CalMag, pH 6.0

Feed once or twice a day using pipette or turkey baster

Watering to runoff is fine, even if medium feels moist

---

WEEK 2 (Days 8–14) – Seedling to Veg Transition

Gradually raise EC to 1.0 on Day 8, 1.3 by Day 11–14

Increase feed to 40 ml

Day 13–14: Start bent coat hanger method (slight bend of main top)

Begin light leaf tucking

---

WEEK 3 (Days 15–21) – Veg & Early Training

Maintain EC at 1.3

Day 15–16: Stake main top down

Keep top pinned for ~14 days to promote even branching

Start defoliation and leaf tucking around Day 17

---

WEEK 4 (Days 22–28) – Bush Out & Root Establishment

Keep EC at 1.3 or bump to 1.4 if needed

Continue 420 method: keep top pinned down

Begin daily defoliation and tucking

Optional: Prepare scrog net

---

WEEK 5 (Days 29–35) – Preflower Begins

Maintain 1.3–1.4 EC

Look for preflower pistils

5–7 days after pistils: flatten plant with scrog net

First schwazz leaf strip: remove large fan leaves

---

WEEK 6 (Days 36–42) – Stretch Phase

Raise EC to 1.5–1.7 (750–850 ppm)

Let inner/lower nodes grow vertically

Tuck/weave stretch growth under net

Minor daily defoliation

---

WEEK 7 (Days 43–49) – Mid-Flower

EC target: 1.7–1.8 (850–900 ppm)

Stop major scrog adjustments

2nd major schwazz around Day 45

Remove mid/upper fan leaves, leave sugar leaves

---

WEEK 8 (Days 50–56) – Late Stretch / Bud Build

Final EC: 1.8–2.0 (900–1000 ppm)

Let buds grow vertically now

Optional 3rd schwazz if foliage is thick

---

WEEK 9+ (Days 57–Harvest) – Bud Fattening & Ripening

Taper EC down to 1.5–1.3 before harvest

Optional flush 10–14 days before harvest

Final cleanup defoliation for airflow and light penetration
