Indoor Growing Scrog

@420autoflower
Insane plants once again. And thanks for your feedback on my plants. The powderymildew - the other 2 are save and without symptomes showing up past 3 weeks. The infected lady went to compost bin (rip) straight. So it's all good and tent well ventilated to prevent or minimize risks.
Added 3rd ventilator - under canopy now it is saver, too. Just wish for double the tentspace...
Need to take some new images today. But those will by far not as be impressive as the pics of your monster plants. Mad skillz , bro! So jealous!

Hello everyone, I’m new to the community — it’s a fantastic space! 🌱

I have a few technical questions regarding cultivation practices and system management:
  1. Irrigation Frequency
    • How frequently do you irrigate throughout the growth cycle?
    • At what stage of development is irrigation turned on?
    • Does irrigation frequency vary between vegetative and flowering stages?
  2. pH Management
    • Do you maintain the reservoir pH consistently at 5.8, or do you allow it to drift upward (e.g., toward 6.1) during flower?
  3. Reservoir Maintenance
    • How often are the reservoirs completely changed out? (My assumption is weekly, but I’d like to confirm.)
    • Are the reservoirs temperature-controlled or aerated with bubblers?
  4. Rockwool Configuration
    • What is the functional importance or advantage of double-stacking the larger rockwool blocks?

I see 4" on top of 6", and at times multiple 6's

I see that 8's are made, but no mention of anyone using them.

I wonder if as with autos the proportions of the media influence when it flowers; Does a stack of 3 4's act the same as a single 6? It's almost the same volume, but roots go deeper.

I know that part of the growth is due to frequent drybacks, which will be less on larger media.

Bro @420autoflower ... what can I say, like @Corum59 said even superlatives fall short.. your posts are always so inspiring and breathtaking to watch, I think it's safe to say we all enjoy the show you give us each time and with it you are making a big impact in the community! :bighug:

I salute you for that :salute: and big thanks for being such a nice person educating & helping others to achieve their goals/dreams as well, proper gent you are! :worship:

Please keep the canna-Art/Magic :wizzy:coming, like always I'm sitting front row to enjoy your show :pop::pop::pop:

There's another reason for 6x6 over the big mama blocks, which is price. I remember the math behind it can be found somewhere in the first 100 pages, but in short, the big ones are expensive. That might be fine still if you need one only. But if you've multiple tents/plants that extra money adds up quickly. And the dryback probably adds another point to factor in. Would be interesting to see the differeces side by side - but only performed by our master. But in all honesty, since 420autoflower method already works to perfection, why adding extra cost and mess with perfection?

Day 14. Amnesia Haze. EC 1.3. RH ~55%. FloraNova Grow only. pH 6. RO water.
Fertigation: 12 minutes every 3 hours. Using 100 watts, 12" above canopy.
20/4 lighting schedule to allow for around 10 degree temp swings, to see if I can get longer stems.
Roots have already grown out from the bottoms of the two stacked Grodan 4" cubes.

Hi Dude,

Can i ask if your drain tray is angled so it drains quicker or just lays flat? im guessing flat?

Could i aslo ask how ofter you water, and for how long each sessions is? & how often do you change out the res?

Thank you

My drain tray is ever-so-slightly angled. Just enough to let it drain over a few minutes or so.
I have tried different watering schedules, they seem to make no measurable difference.
I've done 10 minutes every 5 hours, every 4 hours, and every two hours. Rockwool drains
so quickly. I don't change reservoir water at all during veg, and am experimenting with
my current grow and not changing it at all during flower. I use RO water.
I've learned by mistakes that upping the nutrient strength from sprout to veg, gradually,
is helpful ... to avoid shock. I've also learned that keeping humidity in the 60%+ range
from sprout to a couple of weeks into veg, is helpful too. I have to use a humidifier to
accomplish that, because of my macro environment. I am not an expert by any means.
420, DOA, and others, are the veterans, so their advice is more valuable. Good luck with your grow, brother!

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Are you running a sterile rez — using something like peroxide — or a live one with mycorrhizal fungi and similar additives?

Day 22.
A little defoliation to expose more of the canopy.
First signs of pre-flower noticed, so it looks like in about seven days we will be flattening it out!

I was certainly hoping for some more stretch, but we’ll see what this last week brings.
Update at 7 days of Pre flower. (36 days total)

Going to let it go until Sunday that strip it and flatten it out
