Has anybody tried growing veggies?

I thought it would be fun to have some dwarf tomato plants in my grow room.
Last month I tried some tomato seedlings but they started getting necrotic leaves after 2 weeks, I put them in the sun and they are growing fine now. I only tried 6 seedlings, but they all had the same problem. Maybe they were too young or too sensitive to the HS1. Or maybe they didn't like being near the Cannabis, I dunno. I tried them at different distances from 70cm to 40m.

What veggies grow well under your HS1?

I think it would be fun to have something like this Tiny Tim in the corner of my grow room:

I don't own a HS1 (yet) but did use a MS0006. Last summer I had all manner of veg under it before putting them outside, even tobacco. Worked really well, they def needed more attention though.

Tobacco! Cool, I have never even seen tobacco seeds.
That would be fun to grow, I don't smoke, but the smell of cured tobacco is delicious.
What veggies did the best? Did you have success with Tomatoes?

Some tomato varieties can go from germination to red fruit in 60 days.
They should be even faster under a 20/4 grow light.

They all did well mate, I had aubergine, peppers, tomatoes, herbs, even strawberries. They weren't in there long, just until they were hardened off outside. I'm pretty sure there is a thread somewhere here with a member using an MS0006 for potatoes and carrots etc. LED just seems to make things go deficient quickly, so any veg needs a bit more love.

Tbh, if you have space for tomatoes etc I'd have to ask ' why is that space not occupied with autoflowers' lmao :)

No sell, no smell, no tell.

Growing weed in two containers is plenty. I don't need much for personal use.
Maybe I could drop off anonymous "care packages" at the local Reggae bar. LOL

Very good point, I have read speculation and guesses that the red spectrum stresses plants.... causing them to go deficient more quickly. But I don't understand it. I am guessing increased trichome production is a stress response. But that is pure speculation.
