Old Reviews GrowMore Nutrients Q&A with TdiBear

Is there an updated feed chart for soil available? I've got the seagrow veg, bloom, hawaiian bloom, liquid seaweed already, and am about to order some Ncal and Avalanche. I'm running all LED so I was using the maxical that the old soil chart called for but the excess nitrogen was causing a problem before correcting a mg deficiency so I was getting leaf tip turndown and still getting purple stems and occasional folding up leaves. I'm hopefull that the Mendicino n-cal can solve my issues.

I'm also a bit confused on the usage of the liquid seaweed because I can't find a feeding chart that includes it, when should I be using it and is it usually applied on its own, or is it mixed in with the feeding? Are there any benefits to using it as a foliar also?

M4A, try reading back a few pages I know we covered that subject before. Sorry I a hurry on my way to work.Pm me if u have any qquestions

I know its probably asking alot, but if I list my Grow More products could some of you help me setup a feed schedule to get the most from my products. I wouldn't mine a foliar spray setup either if it uses the stuff I already have on hand and helps the ladies grow. I'm perpetual growing Stone Dragons and Diesels in a 2'x3'x5' cabinet under around 350w of COBs, in an organic soil in airpots, some are the small 1L pots and some are the 1gallon pots; I'm a fan of maximum usage of space and light.

I have both the seagrow veg and bloom, hawaiian bud, N-cal mag, Mendicino Honey, Avalanche, and the Liquid seaweed to work with. I had been using the 1tsp per gallon of the seagrow veg after week 2, then the 1tsp seagrow bloom and 1/4tsp hawaiian after the 2nd week of flower, and always ph'd as close to 6.5 as possible. I was getting okay yeilds (plenty of extra to get me by) but my plants begin to look like a wreck due to mag deficiency shortly after flower kicks in. I get anywhere from 30-50g from the 1 gallon pots but my plants are never taller than about 12" and tend to be just a single cola with 4 satallite buds but around here I see beautifully stretched out airy plants and I'm jealous. How can I most effectively use the supplies I have to maximize growth and minimize waste?

On that note, anyone know if TDiBear still checks in on this thread?

I honestly think your getting lock out, grow more is a strong nutrient if your starting week two at a 1Tsp a gallon your starting off too strong and your feeding a high amount for several weeks. With grow more everyone I know starts at 1/4Tsp some do week 2 others week 3. You start with a 1/4 and over the course of a about 2 weeks work your way up to 1Tsp . Continue with 1tsp until vertical growth stops, then switch to bloom at 1tsp per gallon. Two two of flower introduce the HB at about a 1/8 per gallon, I never go over 1/4th per gallon cause that is STRONG! In combo with a 4-26-26 base nute your screaming for nute burn and over fertilization if you use too much. If you pm me the link to your grow I wouldn't mind walking you thru. :pass:

Magic, thank you for the offer but I don't currently have a grow log posted, I'm just running old school and using pencil and paper to track results. Maybe with the next grow I'll get some photos up.

I got the rest of the stuff I was waiting for and man what a difference. I picked up the Ncal to replace the old maxical and boom, N toxicity and mag deficiency are GONE, not a single rust spot, purple stem, or hooked leaf tip on either of my 4wk old Stone Dragons and theyr'e bigger than any of my previous ladies. I'm using most of the GrowMore product at this point and will see how these ladies do with flowering nutes soon. I'm growing in soil in 1l airpots to maximize usage of my space so I mix my nutes 1qt at a time and due to a fungus gnat issue I add 1/8tsp gnatrol to each mixed qt.

My schedule so far has been per quart ph'd to 6.5:

Seed planting: 1/4tsp GM liquid kelp
Wk1: 1/8tsp sea grow 16-16-16(veg) 1/4tsp kelp
Wk2: 1/4tsp sea grow veg, 1/4tsp kelp, 1/8tsp Ncal
Wk3: 1/4tsp sea grow veg, 1/4tsp kelp, 1/4tsp Ncal
Wk4: 1/4tsp sea grow veg, 1/4tsp kelp, 1/4tsp Ncal, 1/8tsp mendocino honey, 1/32tsp Hawaiian Bud

I also foliar spray daily with a mix that's 1/4tsp kelp and 1/4tsp Ncal per at. With this schedule I have seen none of the problems I've had with past grows and the plants are as green and healthy as anything I've seen. I'm basing my nute schedule off of GrowMore's drain to waste guide with the exception of the addition of that tiny amount of Hawaiian Bud at wk4: that's a leftover from their old schedule and supposedly it helps kick start flower and possibly help with bud sites. I'll continue to update the schedule as the weeks go by and see how the plants respond. I'm using the same new gm guide on some older ladies in flower and while it didn't reverse prior damage from excess N and mag deficiency, all of the new growth and flowers look fantastic.

@Magic Hey magic I know you said to message you if you had some questions, I was wondering if the mix was per gallon, was of feed or per gallon of soil. Since I am running 5 gal pots its a big difference and I dont wanna kill my last Chessus Dragon eggs and my first time running GM nutes and am gonna trying and run them in combo with Sensi from AN.

@Magic oh okay just making sure, Since I usually us Roots organic and they go by Pot size not feeding size. Thanks again man
