These plants are all winter survivors from last year.
There are breeded plants and some ruderalis hybrids among them.
Actually there isn't place in the nature where ruderalis grow wild at so high lattitudes (in Russia its up to 55N).
So I removed males and will use some special pollen from males of OFN RD or EWS

This thread just to show what is possible to grow in real northern lattitudes :2cents:
Peace!

Good stuff
Hope the breeding is successful, your plants look lovely and green

Nice - I might try that Royal Nepal next year with all of the nice reports I'm reading.
When you say winter survivors - do you mean selfsown plants from last years grow?

Pics from 14 september

At spot with self sown plants was found late male and some signs of mold. 1 plant was harvested.

Found first mold on few plants but removed it in time  sprayed anti-mold solution based on trichoderma lignorum. Works good for me :2cents:
most seeds are already ripen but I'll let plants stay for 2 more weeks.

30 may planted to outdoor a dozen of one week old seedlings RRF f2 (russian rocket fuel)

7 june

Most plants were full auto moldede away in first week of august so harvest with 50% of ripen seeds. but one hadn't flowered as others but grow into good yielder. This is what I found 15 september:
2 branches broke from sterm, and molded away on the ground. Each was 1.2 meter long.
so this is what was harvested

rrf.jpg rrf2.JPG

down the pic above you can see other rrf plants, lower buds molded away with seeds.
Dunno is this plant just a pheno from rrf or some pollen from Ukraine outdoor had taken a place when my friend done f2 but what I know for sure : the buds on the purple plant are airy=mold resistance, but very sticky and have strong pine-minty odor, the seeds are ripen.

I love your self starters. I sowed 100 seeds outside and only had 2 sprout and grow. I am breeding those 2 hoping for what you have.

Selfsown at 60N is impressive, even though there hardly was a winter last year:D Have to say your area looks very similar to where I'm from. Have found and started preparing a couple of spots looking similar to yours for next years OD GG!
