Greetings AFN

I have a hard water question. My tap water is on the hard side (240-250 on a TDS meter). I don't what the minerals are but I assume mostly calcium compounds as the pH runs 7.8-8.0. I know this probably a problem in hydro. But can I use it in soil??????????

Many Thanks for any help you can lend!!!!

I believe my tap water is around the same as yours. about 250 -280 ppm and ph of 7.5-8.0. I couldn't really find any info about my water online and I can't be asked to call up there so I just went with it.

1 soil and 1 Hydro. Shot taken a few days ago. I haven't run into any cal/mag problems though I do have garden lime in the soil.

I think you will be okay, just make sure to get some PH down. I seem to go through a ton of it. I know some nutes have a hard water version. Like the GH nutes I use do. I didn't realize it until after I got the nutes though so I'm not using the hard water version. Doesn't seem to be effecting the plants at all though.

Good luck bruh! ;D

Thanks for the input Anasazi. I checked out your grow (I'm subed btw for the rest of the fun) and your girls seem to be doing good. So I guess I will give my tap water a shot. Not sure why you're adding lime to your soil though, as it a base and will cause the pH to go up.
